PlatoonHowthePerfectManWouldBeTreated
It’s fascinating to think of all the ways that God testifies about His
Son. Nearly 400 years before the birth of Jesus, as you know, a man

Platowrotethefollowing:Iftheperfectlyjust(i.e.,righteous)manwereto

impaled.” (Since crucifixion was already a standard form of execution in
Plato’stime,sometranslatorsactuallyusetheword“crucified.”).”
As you also know, the perfectly just man has already come into the
world, and they did to Him whatever they pleased. “He came unto His
own,butHisowndidnotreceiveHim.”Platowasnoexponentofbiblical
religion, but God granted him sufficient wisdom to see what would
happen to a perfect man upon entering a world populated with prideful
peoplelikeyouandme.”Heknewenoughaboutthenatureofhumankind
to know that we would not run to embrace the perfect man. For he

SDMI Happenings
Many exciting things are happing in
our SDMI department. The more you
become involved, the more God can
work in your life and the life of the
church. How can you help? Ask any questions to Brian
Farmer at Cherry Grove or your local pastor.
NYI Corner
Many of our Teens and Sponsors will be
going down to ONU this weekend for RCL. Please keep
them in your prayers.
Missions convention is
May 20, 2017 at
Cadillac First Church.
Registration begins at
9:00AM and opening of convention will begin at
9:30AM. You will not want to miss out on this day. It
is always great to hear from our missionaries and
worship God together. Come expecting God to move.
Any prayer requests or praises need to
be given to Kellie Meiner no later
than 10:00AM Monday mornings.
She tries to have the newsletters out to
everyone by noon.
• Pray for Revival in our Churches and on our District
• Pray for our Pastors and their spouses
• Pray for our Church Planting Efforts
Family Camp will be here
before you know it!!!! (August
6-11). Be in prayer for our
Speaker, Rev. Michael Arp and
our worship leaders from ONU.
We want this to be led by God
and we want Him to show up (as He always does)
and do mighty things on our District. We want
everyone to be a part of family camp. Information on
campsites and lodging will be on the website soon.
Children’s Camp is July 31-Aug 4.
The Theme is F.B.I. (Faith Bible
Investigators). Brandon and Sandy
Metzger have an amazing week
planned for your children. Please keep an eye out on
the website for registration forms and more
information. Get your registrations in as early as
possible so we can get the staffing we need.
