fairytale.ThisinfactisthenewKODIAQSUVwhichlefttheassemblylineinKvasiny
asthe1millionthcarof2016.ThehappyeventoccurredonNovember14at8:15inthe
morning.Thenewseven-seaterwas4.7metresinlength.
Beforeemergingfromtheassemblylinethatextendseightandahalfkilometres,the
newKODIAQhadbeencraftedthrough27hoursbymorethan500robotsandseveral
hundredemployees.Allhadplayedtheirrolesinbringingthismysticallymoon-white
creationintotheworld.ExactlyfourlitresofpainthadbeenappliedtogivetheKODIAQ
itscharacteristicluminance.
SeveralthousandoftheŠKODAKODIAQwillbemanufacturedbeforethenewmodel
officiallygoesonsaleinMarchofnextyear.Thesecarsalreadyarepredestinedfor
mediaandauthorisedshowroompresentations,aswellforcardealers’training.

BecausetheKODIAQSUVisacompletelynewmodel,itssharetodateinthatmillion
comestojust312cars.ThebiggestslicesofthepiechartwenttoŠKODAOCTAVIA,with
itsnearly40%,followedbytheRAPIDmodel(18.82%)andbyFABIA(17.83%).Morethan
125,000carsofthe1millionturnedouttobetheSUPERBmodel,andthelistconcludes
withYETIandCITIGO,whoserespectiveshareswere8.5%and3.71%.
AccordingtoŠKODAAUTO’sstatisticalanalysis,thetotalproductionofallitscarshas
doubledinthepast10years.Only2017andtheyearstofollowwilldeterminethefate
ofthenewKODIAQ,whosedesignwasinspiredbyCzechcrystalandisequippedwiththe
latestsoftware.Inanycase,thesuccessofthenewmodelwillfindsupportfromthefact
