AMY TISI
BABY BANK FOUNDER CHOSEN AS LIB DEM CANDIDATE FOR CLEWER NORTH
Liberal Democrats in Windsor have chosen new
member and Baby Bank Windsor co-founder,
Amy Tisi, to be their candidate in the Clewer
North Council Election on Thursday 4th May.
Amy lives in the ward itself, just off Parsonage Lane,
and is married with two young daughters. She has
lived in Windsor for just over six years.
Becoming a mum and realizing the great expense
of setting up for a new baby, led Amy and a friend
to set up “Baby Bank Windsor”. Baby Bank helps
new mums in hardship by providing the essentials
needed for a new baby. Since it started two years
ago, it has expanded to serve other nearby areas.
Amy works as a teacher in a state primary school
and is a specialist in teaching early years (infants)
and special needs.
Tisi
Amy grew up in an armed forces family and as a
baby was christened in the ship’s bell of the aircraft
carrier HMS Illustrious!

Amy is fighting plans by the
Conservative Council to build on the
Green Belt immediately to the west
of the Willows Path, between the
Dedworth and Maidenhead roads.
In their 2015 General Election
Manifesto, the Conservatives
promised to protect Green belt.
It’s just a shame that they’re not
doing that in Clewer North.
The Conservatives’ Development Plans
also include demolishing the two local
Garden Centres.
“The Garden Centres are a real
community hub in West Windsor, with
people meeting their friends for tea
and a relaxing short trip out. They’re
used extensively by older people,”
says Amy Tisi.
“I regularly visit Wyevale to catch up
with friends and to take my daughter
to use the soft play area. Their loss
would be an added blow on top of the
Green Belt development.”
Aircraft Noise & Heathrow 3
As well as a third runway,
Conservative plans will reduce the
time Heathrow is shut at night.
‘Respite Time’ for some residents
around the airport will fall from
8 hours to 4 hours a night.
“The Liberal Democrats,
locally and nationally,
remain completely opposed
to Heathrow’s third runway,”
says Amy Tisi.
In government, the Liberal Democrats had Heathrow 3 cancelled
