Welcome
We are pleased to welcome you as an ING credit
card holder.
This guide describes the numerous benefits of
your new ING credit card. ING Classic Visa cards,
ING Gold Visa cards and ING Gold MasterCards
are recognised and accepted worldwide. They can
be used both in day-to-day life and on holiday,
at restaurants and online. Like millions of users
around the world, you now have an efficient and
practical means to pay for your spending and
withdraw cash.
Make the most of all the advantages of your ING
credit card now.
The world is your oyster!
5
Your card and your PIN
Your card is strictly personal and nobody other than
you may use it. Please sign the back of your card
as soon as you receive it.
Your personal PIN number will have been posted
to you. This four-digit code will be required at ATMs,
many shops and for online payments. Your PIN is a
secret code and must remain… secret! Do not write
it down anywhere, especially not on your card.
Choose your own PIN
To enhance safety when using your card or just to
simplify life we also offer you the possibility to
change your PIN. You can also change it at any ING
Self'Bank displaying the MasterCard or Visa logo.
Select the function “Change PIN" and follow the
instructions on the screen to choose your new PIN.
Beware: avoid combinations which are easy to
guess.
TIP
If you want to order a new PIN, please contact
your branch.
6
What to do if your card is lost or stolen?
As soon as you realise that your ING credit card has
been lost or stolen, just give a call and you can rest
assured.
• Immediately call Card Stop on 070 344 344 (or
+32 70 344 344 if you are calling from abroad).
Your card will be blocked straightaway. Please
note this number in both your diary and your
mobile phone.
• Report
the loss or theft to the local official
authorities within 24 hours.
• At the possible request of Atos Worldline, provide
the proof and references of your report (chaussée
de Haecht 1442, 1130 Brussels). Accordingly you
will be fully discharged from any liability for
fraudulent expenditure carried out by a third party
either from the day of your phone call (in the case
of manually recorded transactions) or from the
precise time of your call (in the case of electronic
transactions). In the case of transactions carried
out before such day or time, your liability will
generally be limited. Always remain on your guard
when entering your PIN.
7
Your spending limit
The amount you can spend each month by means
of your card is fixed. If this limit does not meet your
transaction requirements you can, at any time, apply
to your ING branch to increase this spending limit.
ING Card holders can also:
• increase the spending limit
easily via:
- Home'Bank
- Self’Bank
- Phone'Bank
• increase your limit yourself by making deposits
to fund your ING Card account in Home’Bank
and Self’Bank. This possibility is extremely practical
if you are planning a major spending spree, just
before going on holiday for instance.
When you make a deposit on your ING Card
account, it takes two working days for the spending
limit increase to take effect.
8
How to use your ING credit
card?
Your card is accepted in millions of retail outlets
displaying the MasterCard or Visa logo: a variety of
services, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, taxis,
car rental companies, petrol stations, airlines,
tollbooths, hotels, internet stores, etc. both in
Belgium and abroad. You are assured of a warm
welcome at all times.
A. Payments in Belgium and abroad
Nothing could be easier than paying for your
purchases with your card. Depending on the
terminal, you accept the transaction:
• by entering your PIN and then pressing OK
• by manually signing the voucher presented by
the merchant
Tip
Keep the copies of the sales vouchers carefully
as you will need them to check the transactions
indicated on your statement of expenditure.
9
ING Card: additional service
If you have chosen an ING Card, you can transfer,
via Home Bank and Self'Bank, money from your
ING Card account to any other Belgian account.
Provided the account is sufficiently funded when
the transfer is carried out, the money will be
transferred to the current account within two
working days.
10
B. Online payments
Check to see if the "Verified by Visa" and
"MasterCard SecureCode" logos are visible on the
websites where you want to make purchases. The
logos certify that these sites meet the security
requirements for online payments stipulated by Visa
or MasterCard.
The merchants will ask you, via their website, to
provide the number and expiry date of your card.
In addition, for Belgium you must often enter the
CVC code: the last three digits of the number on
the back of your card. Next, you will be asked to
identify yourself by means of your ING Card Reader
as you do with Home Bank. In this way you confirm
that you are the card holder. Your purchase will be
confirmed via the vendor's site.
Sites that do not display these logos do not offer
the same security conditions as you are not required
to confirm that you are the card holder.
11
C. Remote payments (by telephone)
You can make payments by telephone or mail using
your ING credit card. For that purpose, simply
provide your name and address, as well as the
number and expiry date of your card. In some cases,
you will also have to enter the CVC number of your
card (the 3-digit code on the back of your card).
Tip
Never disclose your PIN number, even when
making purchases over the phone.
12
D. Cash withdrawals
ATMs
Your card and your PIN allow you to withdraw
money 24/7 at any ATM displaying the MasterCard
or Visa logo, both in Belgium and abroad. Total cash
withdrawals made with the same card from cash
dispensers may never exceed 620 euros per period
of four consecutive days. This amount can be
withdrawn in one go or spread over several
transactions.
Foreign exchange agencies
By simply showing your card, you can also withdraw
cash from exchange agencies in Belgium and abroad.
Once your identity has been checked, you will receive
the amount requested.
For all the withdrawals you make, the maximum
amount will correspond to the maximum limit of
your ING credit card.

expenditure
Clear and detailed
Each month, you will receive an itemised statement
of expenditure. If you disagree with a transaction
please notify Atos Worldline (chaussée de Haecht
1442, 1130 Brussels) as soon as possible in writing,
indicating the number of your card, the date and
number of your statement, as well as the references
of the disputed amount. Your complaint will be
examined quickly and you will be refunded in the
event of an error.
TIP
Do you subscribe to the Home'Bank or
Phone'Bank services? Do you use Self'Banks?
In that case you can view the transactions
carried out in the course of the month with
your credit card at any time.
