On Saturday, September 15 & Sunday, September 16
Meatheads will donate 10% of the net sales to the Village of
Glen Ellyn's Tree Replacement Program. Meatheads is located
at 549 E. Roosevelt Road. For more information on the

New Village Leaf Stickers
This Month in
Glen Ellyn
New this year, residents will have the option to purchase leaf
stickers for $1.50. Leaf stickers will be available for purchase
after Monday, September 24 at all locations currently selling
collection stickers for Glen Ellyn.

These stickers may only be purchased and used during the
months of October and November. Additionally, residents must
use a 33-gallon kraft paper bag with leaf stickers (reusable
containers with leaf stickers will not be permitted). Leaves can
also continue to be disposed of with yard waste stickers as
well ($2.35, reusable containers permitted). For a list of

Police Department
reminds residents to
keep homes and
vehicles locked.
Glen Ellyn was recently the recipient of a generous
beautification project completed along the Prairie Path just
west of Main Street. William Tresch, an Eagle Scout
prospect, of neighboring Itasca coordinated and designed the
landscaping project. The project involved preparing several
flower beds with over 100 plants and mulch, constructing two
benches and a plaque, planting a new pine tree and installing
a rain barrel to irrigate the area. William coordinated efforts
with DuPage County, the Village of Glen Ellyn, Kane-DuPage
Soil and Water Conservation District, and secured labor from

Residents are
reminded to keep
vehicles locked even
when they are in
their own driveway.

Glen Ellyn Historical Society
Tavern Day
The Glen Ellyn Historical Society's Tavern Day on Sunday,
September 30, will take place in the Stacy's Tavern backyard
at 800 N. Main Street from 1pm to 4pm. A full afternoon of
pioneer interactive experiences including blacksmith
demonstrations, rope making, corn shelling and log saw will
