NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – LATEST RESULTS
The National Championships under the control of Bowls England, and sponsored by Aero Bowls, continued
apace at Victoria park, Royal Leamington Spa during the week, and what a week for Northamptonshire
bowlers. A National Champion, four National Semi-Finalists and a National Quarter Finalist during the first 7
days of competition.
The Champion is Rebecca Wigfield, Desborough Town BC who claimed the Champion of Champions Singles
National title.
The Semi-Finalists were, firstly, the duo from Burton Latimer Town BC, Chris Cooper & Tina Broderick, who
achieved the distinction in the Senior Pairs, secondly the rink of Margaret Watts, Jeannie Flippance, Katie Smith
& Rebecca Wigfield, Desborough Town BC, who did so in the Women’s Fours Championships, thirdly Alison
Dring, Burton Latimer Town BC who reached the semi-final of the Women’s Four Wood Singles, and fourthly
Conor Bryan, Kingsthorpe BC and his partner in the Sutton Winson Plate Pairs
The Quarter Finalist was Connor Rollings, Kettering Lodge BC who achieved this level in the Sutton Winson
Under 18 Singles.
Full details as follows:
A.
WOMEN’S SENIOR PAIRS
2nd ROUND: - Last 16 in the country played at 9.30 a.m. on Monday, 8 th August, 2016.
Chris Cooper & Tina Broderick beat Sue Ritchie & Val Hughes of Cambridgeshire 28-13 shots.
This was a match in which, although Cambridgeshire took a slender lead of 2 shots after 4 ends of play, the 5 th end
produced a very good count of 4 shots for the County pair to take the lead and from then on they were always in front,
although for the next few ends it was quite tight with just a 2 shots lead 9-7 after 9 ends of play.
The 10th end was very good for Chris & Tina for they collected a 5 shots count, followed by 4 shots on the next end to
increase their lead to 11 shots at 18-7. At the 18 ends played mark, with just 3 ends left to play, the Cambridgeshire
pair were 13 shots adrift, and although they collected 1 shot on the 19 th end, when dropping 3 shots to the County on
the 20th end the victory was with Chris & Tina, and a place in the Quarter Finals.
-2QUARTER FINAL:
Played at 2.0 p.m. on Monday, 8th August, 2016.
Chris & Tina beat Sandie Plant & Judy Abel, Yorkshire 22-21 shots.
As the score implies, this was a very competitive and close encounter, which could have gone either way, but in the
event, by just the odd shot, the victory went to Chris & Tina, and a place in the Semi-Finals.
SEMI-FINAL: Played at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 9th August, 2016.
Chris & Tina lost to Linda Challenger & Lindsay Collin, Gloucestershire 13-18 shots.
A match in which the County pair were initially behind by a few shots, with the score against them1-7 shots at 5 ends
played but just 2 adrift after 10 ends at 6-8, and much to the pleasure of their supporters, a pick up of 2 shots on each
of the next 2 ends saw them take a lead for the first time at 10-8 shots.
That lead was short-lived for their opponents tied the scores in the next 2 ends, but although a lead of 1 shot was
gained after 15 ends of play, 1 end later the scores were level again at 11 shots each with 5 ends left to play.
Unfortunately the Gloucestershire pair picked up 6 shots on the next 2 ends to take a 6 shots lead, and although Chris
& Tina managed to take 1 shot back, they lost the next ends, and with 1 end left to play they needed 6 shots to force an
extra end. 1 shot was all they could manage and the passage to the Final was denied them.
Well done to Chris & Tina – a great achievement to get to the Semi-Finals of this National competition.
B.
WOMEN’S FOURS
Preliminary Round:
Played at 2.0 p.m. on Monday, 8th August, 2016.
Victoria Stevenson, Elaine Munton, Sandra Mawson & Pat Bodily, Northampton Whyte Melville BC beat Mary
Day, Barbara Hornby, Judy Moore & Rita George, Adastra BC, Hassocks, Sussex 27-9 shots.
Clearly a very good win for the Whyte Melville quartet, in a match which they dominated.
1st Round:
1.
Played at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 9th August, 2016.
Victoria, Elaine, Sandra & Pat beat Elizabeth Boaden, Susan Macdowell, Jean Allen & Shelagh Carter,
Hexham Alvaston BC, Northumberland 24-12 shots.
Another match in which the Northampton players were in control after just a few ends, with a decent lead of 8 shots at
the halfway mark, and up by 11 shots, 19-8 after 15 ends of play. They did not slow down over the next 3 ends either
as they maintained a good 11 shots lead, finally winning the match in style.
2.
Margaret Watts, Jeannie Flippance, Katie Smith & Rebecca Wigfield, Desborough Town BC beat Ella
Baker, Rosemary Manning, Valerie West & Susan Williams, Melton BC, Woodbridge, Suffolk 23-9 shots.
This match was the opening of the defence of their title by the Desborough players, and they started in fine style.
After 3 ends they were 4-0 up, and on the 4th end picked up a big count of 5 shots when Katie took out the 2 nd bowl
and Rebecca then drew 2 shots, and at this stage they were all looking very determined. Their opponents scored on
the next end with 2 shots and added a couple more to be down by 7 shots, and after being stuck on that score for 3
ends Rebecca’s rink attained a lead of 11 shots at around the halfway mark.
The Desborough lead increased to 13 shots after 16 ends, helped by a good count of 4 shots on the 15 th end when, after
19 ends of play with just 2 ends left, the County rink’s lead was 15 shots, one expected their opponents might shake
hands and concede defeat at that stage as they needed a maximum 8 and a 7 to force an extra end, but they played on,
picked up just 1 shot on the 20th end and then conceded.
-32ND Round:
Played at 2.0 p.m. on Tuesday, 9th August, 2016.
1.
Victoria, Elaine, Sandra & Pat lost to Shirley Plummer, Jill Lambert, Annette Baison & Carol Wright,
Rookery BC, Stowmarket, Suffolk 17-23 shots.
This was a match of changing fortunes for the County rink, for they lost the 1 st 2 ends by single shots, then collected a
fine 4 to take the lead on the next end, only to see their lead disappear after 5 ends at 4-6 shots. The next 2 ends saw
the Suffolk players pick up 6 shots without reply to lead by 8 but the next 5 ends were all in the Whyte Melville rink’s
favour as they picked up 10 shots without reply to take a 2 shots lead at 14-12.
Unfortunately their lead disappeared in 2 more ends as they dropped 1 shot behind, but with 7 ends left to play this
was not expected to be a disaster. However, they got stuck on 14 shots whilst their opponents eased to 22 shots, and
although they picked up 3 of the 8 shots deficit, with just 1 end left it was a hard ask, and the Suffolk rink collected 1
shot on that last end.
2.
Margaret, Jeannie, Katie & Rebecca beat Linda Deighton, Sandra Greatorex, Caroline Duarte & Pauline
Biddlecombe, Southey BC, Wimbledon, Surrey 23-21 shots.
What an amazing recovery by the Desborough players who at around the 8 ends played stage were 9 shots adrift, and
things did not get better for them as they were 12 shots in deficit at 19-7 and still 10 at 20-10 shots with just a handful
of ends left to play. What a fight they made of it though as they started to pick up multiple shots per end to reduce the
deficit to just 3 shots at 17-20 with 3 ends left to play.
The 19th & 20th ends each produced a count of 3 shots for Rebecca’s rink to take a lead for the first time in the match.
The last end was a very tense affair for the County players and supporters alike as they delivered their last bowls to
prevent their opponents from getting the shots they needed, and in that they were very successful, for the opposing
skip had a very difficult shot to try to win the match and in the end had to be satisfied with just 1 shot, and the passage
to the last 16 was with the County rink.
3rd Round (Last 16): Played at 9.0 a.m. on Wednesday, 10 th August, 2016.
Margaret, Jeannie, Katie & Rebecca beat Karen Tandler, Josie Ward, Barbara Griffiths & Jennie Cole of Brimfield
& Little Hereford BC, Herefordshire 18-12 shots.
This was a very close encounter for the majority of its length with scores tied 4-4 after 6 ends of play, and, although
the County rink was always in front thereafter, it was only by the odd shot or two with the score 12-10 after 15 ends
of play.
Rebecca’s rink then collected 5 shots without reply in the next 3 ends to have a cushion of 7 shots with 3 ends left to
play and they restricted their opponents to 1 on each of the next 2 ends for a last end where the Hereford four
realistically had little chance, especially as the Desborough players covered that possibility by delivering good bowls
into the head to reduce any likelihood of it happening.
Quarter Final: Played on the afternoon of Wednesday, 10 th August, 2016.
Margaret, Jeannie, Katie & Rebecca beat Sarah Newson, Julie Masters, Val Newson & Catherine Popple, Parkway
BC, Huntingdonshire BA 26-23 shots.
This match was always expected to be tough for the County rink as three of their opponents had won this title before,
in 2009, they being Sarah & Val Newson & Catherine Popple, and so it proved. The County rink had a great start in
picking up 5 shots in the first end, but then rather worrying for them and their supporters they dropped 10 shots
without reply in the next 4 ends to trail by 5, but we need not have worried at that stage for 4 ends later they had
collected 9 shots, including 2 counts of 4, to take a 2 shots lead.
-4After 11 ends the scores were level on 14’s, but Parkway then took a 3 shots lead at 21-18 after 17 ends, but with a 3
shot pick up on the 18th end the scores were level again on 21 shots each. The Hunts rink then picked up a single shot
to lead with 2 ends to play, and on the 20th end, when shots down, Rebecca played the shot of the match to trail the
jack through to the back for a massive match-winning score of 5 shots, which was good enough as the last end
required at least 4 shots for Parkway to progress, but a series of well placed covering bowls denied them that, and the
Semi-Final place was Desborough’s.
It should be noted that this was Rebecca’s 3rd match of the day, she having been required to play a Champion of
Champions singles between the two Fours matches, and following this Quarter Final Fours victory, she had to almost
immediately play a Quarter Final match in the Champion of Champions. (Reported on below)
SEMI-FINAL:
Played at 9.0 a.m. on Thursday, 11 th August, 2016.
Margaret, Jeannie, Katie & Rebecca lost to Rebecca Field, Carole Baker, Harriett Segasby & Jackie Devitt,
Norfolk BC, Norwich 19-29 shots.
Their reign as Fours Champions was ended in fairly decisive fashion by the Norfolk quartet, for, although the first few
ends were quite tight, despite dropping a 4 on the first end and a massive 6 on the 5 th end, there was just 2 shots in it at
6 ends, with Norfolk being ahead 10-8. Unfortunately the County four did not quite get to grips with the rink and over
the next 4 ends they went behind by a further 9 shots, and when they dropped a count of 5 shots on the 12th end they
faced an uphill battle with a 15 shots deficit at 9-24.
The Desborough four were not willing to give up their title and over the next few ends they reduced the deficit to 8
shots at 18 ends on 19-27 shots but when Norfolk picked up 2 singles on each of the 19 th & 20th end, the ambition to
retain the trophy was ended.
Nevertheless what a fantastic effort, and to achieve a semi-final place after winning the title last year was tremendous,
well done to them.

WOMEN’S CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS SINGLES
1ST Round (Last 16 in the country):
Played at 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 10th August, 2016.
Rebecca Wigfield, Desborough Town BC beat Sarah Vinnicombe, of Devon 21-8 shots.
Rebecca was required to play this match almost without a break after her exploits in the Fours Last 16 match, and
after a slow start, she really turned it on and gave a very good exhibition of draw bowling, giving her opponent no
chance, or likelihood, of beating her.
QUARTER FINAL:
Played at 6.0 p.m. on Wednesday, 10th August, 2016.
Rebecca beat Sharmita Patel of Surrey 21-8 shots.
This was Rebecca’s fourth match of the day, the previous Champion of Champions Singles, and the two Fours
matches, yet she showed tremendous stamina in her will to succeed. Another Quarter Final match was also taking
place at the same time, and these were the only matches being played at this time, but quite a number of supporters
stayed to watch them. Rebecca was a little slow to get going and after 5 ends of play she was a couple of shots adrift
at 2-4, but two counts of 3 shots on the next 2 ends saw her take a 4 shots lead at 8-4, and from then on she gave her
opponent very little as she was bowling so well.
Sharmita was drawing some excellent woods, but Rebecca just bettered them end after end, and after 12 ends of play
she could see the finishing post on 15-5 shots, but on the 13th end her opponent picked up 3 shots rather against the run
of play, to give herself a glimmer of hope, but Rebecca would have none of it as she took the next 3 ends of play to
reach her 21 shots.
-5Played at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday, 11th August, 2016.
SEMI-FINAL:
Rebecca beat Stephanie Branfield, Clevedon BC, Somerset 21-14 shots.
A match that was expected to be very close, as her opponent is a fellow England International of Rebecca’s who, in
her previous round, had thrashed her England International opponent 21-2 shots! Rebecca took the first shot of the
match, but very alarmingly she then did not score for 6 more ends, and her opponent was cruising with 10 shots to that
1 of Rebecca’s.
However, Rebecca is a real fighter, and she did not appear to be daunted by the position she was in, and although it
took her some time to reduce the deficit, on the 17th end of play she picked up a maximum count of 4 shots to level the
match at 13 each. From that point on Rebecca was magnificent, allowing Stef to collect just 1 more shot as she herself
collected the 8 shots she required in 6 more ends, and a place in the Final
FINAL:
Played at 3.30 p.m. on Thursday, 11th August, 2016.
Rebecca beat Elaine Score, Essex 21-7 shots.
This match would appear in many ways to be a bit of an anti climax for a Final, in the sense that the final score was
not very close. However, Rebecca’s opponent played some very good bowls indeed, but Rebecca was just too good.
After losing the first end by 1 shot, Rebecca then removed that deficit, and although the scores were tied on 3 shots
each after 4 ends of play, Rebecca really turned it on and showed her considerable skills. After 10 ends of play the
scores showed her to be just 2 shots in front at 9-7, which showed her opponent’s fighting spirit, but from that point on
Rebecca was merciless. She cruised to the title over 7 more ends, denying Elaine any further shots, much to the great
joy of County President Velda Cooper and all the family and supporters who were cheering her on.
Magnificent Rebecca, you have played brilliantly over these last 3 days, with this trophy and the Fours SemiFinal place. Well done.
D.
WOMEN’S 4 WOOD SINGLES
Preliminary Round:
Played at 2.0 p.m. on Thursday, 11 th August, 2016.
Tina Broderick, Burton Latimer Town BC beat Doreen Butcher, Dunmow BC, Essex 21-18 shots
Tina was very slow to get going in this match, and was 9 shots adrift 1-10 after a number of ends, but once she found
the green and pace, she very quickly made inroads into the deficit, and came through for the victory and a place in the
1st Round.
1st Round:
1.
Played on the morning of Friday, 12 th August, 2016.
Tina Broderick beat Jeannette Singer, Francis Drake BC, Kent 21-10 shots.
A qualifier from Kent is always going to be a tough opponent, and so it proved for Tina in the first half dozen or so
ends, for she was initially a shot or two behind until drawing level at 8 shots each, but from then on she played some
excellent bowls to ease herself ahead and allowing her opponent just 2 more shots as she took the victory and a
passage into the 2nd round.
2.
Alison Dring, Burton Latimer Town BC beat Maureen Adamson, Bolton BC, Lancashire BA 21-4 shots.
What a first win for Alison on her first visit to the National Championships, on a tricky rink where she trounced her
opponent, who could not find the lines to the jack which she clearly could. So to a 2 nd Round match.
-62nd Round:
1.
Played at 12.15 p.m. on Friday, 12th August, 2016.
Tina Broderick beat Kirsty Richards, Kings Heath BC, Warwickshire BA 21-18 shots.
A match against a regular England Junior International player which demanded that Tina be on her very best, for
Kirsty had disposed of the reigning Champion, Sophie Tolchard, in her previous match. Tina was in form, and
despite dropping a 3 shots count on the first end, she fought back over the next 7 ends to lead by 5 shots at 10-5.
Unfortunately she dropped a maximum count on the next end but she still kept a small lead over the next 3 ends at 1110 shots.
2 ends later the scores were level on 12 each, with both players delivering some terrific bowls, and a further 3 ends
later they were still on level terms at 14 shots each, and a great finale was expected. Three ends later, Tina’s
supporters were getting a bit anxious for Kirsty had managed to ease in front by 4 shots at 18-14 and she could see the
winning post, but Tina levelled the match 2 ends later, and what turned out to be the 22 nd and last end of the match,
Tina drew 3 excellent shots, and although Kirsty was very close in trying to rest one or more out of the head, she
missed the target and the match was Tina’s.
2.
Alison Dring beat Bet Aubery, Thatcham BC, Berkshire 21-20 shots.
A match which Alison would probably admit that at one stage she was going to lose, but she is a fighter on the green,
and although many shots behind at various stages of the match, including 10 down at 8-18 shots, she would not accept
defeat, and she bowled magnificently to claw her way back, and although her opponent at one point held a match lie,
Alison beat it and got to the last 16 by her determination.
Interestingly her opponent went on to win the National Senior Singles title on Sunday, 14 th August, 2016, an indication
of the strength of Alison’s opposition..
3rd Round (Last 16 in the country) Played at 3.15 p.m. on Friday, 11 th August, 2016.
1.
Tina Broderick lost to Helen Broughton, Stute BC, Derbyshire BA 21-6 shots.
Tina faced yet another England International at Junior level, in Helen Broughton, formerly Mason, and on a rink that
she could not find the lines and pace, she was unfortunately beaten fairly comprehensively. She was 11 shots down
before she could trouble the scoreboard herself, and despite getting quite a few bowls pretty close, her opponent
managed the rink that much better and was most often able to beat Tina’s bowls, and she had to accept defeat after 16
ends of play.
2.
Alison Dring beat Cassidy Lenton, Newton Abbott BC, Devon 21-12 shots.
What a run Alison is having! This time her opponent was a current England Junior International player, but Alison
was obviously not fazed by that for she immediately went into the attack and created a substantial lead of 10 shots
after around 10 ends of play at 13-3 shots, and she did not let up either, but kept her young adversary well behind her
by some excellent bowling.
QUARTER FINAL: Played at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, 13 th August, 2016.
Alison Dring beat Helen Lewis-Wall, Kingscroft BC, Leicestershire 21-14 shots.
This was another tremendous match by Alison, very competitive and of the highest standard of draw baling. After 7
ends of play Alison had got herself a 5 shots lead at 7-2, but her opponent is a top bowler and she fought back very
well to level the match at 9 shots each after 11 ends, and 2 ends later the scores were still level on 10 each.
After going behind by 1 shot on the next end, Alison picked up a very handy maximum count of 4 shots to get back
the lead which she was not to lose again, at 14-11 shots. Two ends later her lead had increased to 7 shots, and
although her opponent was able to score 3 singles, it was just a couple of ends later that Alison took the victory and a
well deserved passage into the Semi-Final.
-7SEMI-FINAL: Played at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, 13 th August, 2016.
Alison Dring lost to Donna Knight, Oxford City & County BC, Oxfordshire 18-21 shots.
This match was played in glorious sunny and hot weather conditions, very conducive to goo bowling, and the match
we saw between two excellent exponents, was deserving of a Final. Alison’s opponent Knight was a National winner
in the Pairs in 2015, and in the Fours in 2014, so it was expected that she would be a very stern test for the County
player, who was playing in the National Championships Singles event for the very first time, and so it proved.
Much to the pleasure of the County officers, family and supporters, Alison picked up a maximum count of 4 shots on
the very first end, and with some superb bowling she created a 4 shots lead after 5 ends at 6-2 and maintained that gap
after a further 3 ends at 10-4 . At that point the ‘wheel nearly came off’ as her opponent bowled some terrific bowls
which Alison almost matched but not quite, and in 6 ends she had to concede 10 shots without reply to go behind 1014. So well were both players delivering their woods, that it was no surprise to see the match draw level again after a
further 6 ends of play at 16 shots each.
Alison then took 2 single counts to get in sight of the title at 18-16 shots. Donna picked up a single shot on a measure
on the next end to sit just 1 shot behind, and on what transpired to be the very last end of an absorbing match, Donna
trailed the jack a little to be sitting 2 or maybe 3 shots, and Alison with the last bowl of the end delivered an almost
perfect bowl to get some movement of the jack to her own back bowls, but she did not move it quite far enough, and
on the umpire being called on to measure the result, to her dismay and her supporters, it was 4 shots to Donna.
-7What a magnificent achievement by Alison to not only reach the Semi-Final of this the most prized of all
National Championships, but to play such superb bowls in doing so against some very strong opposition. Well
done Alison. As a matter of interest her Semi-Final opponent went on to take the title 21-18 shots against Rachel
Mackriell of Eastbourne, Sussex.
E.
WOMEN’S SENIOR SINGLES
1st Round: Played at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, 13 th August, 2016.
Viv Gaudyn, Higham Ferrers Town BC lost to Heather Willerton, Somerset BA
After a pretty close start, in which Viv was only a shot or two adrift after a few ends, she then got pinned down on 7
shots as her opponent steadily added shots to be 8 shots up on 15-7, and although Viv picked up 4 more shots to give a
glimmer of hope at 11-18 down, she could not stop Heather easing to the victory, and Viv was the first to admit that
she did not play well enough on a rink which she found rather tricky. It is an achievement to get to the National
Championships for she beat some very good bowlers en route to doing so, well done to her.
F.
WOMEN’S TRIPLES
Early 1st Round: Played at 2.0 p.m. on Sunday, 14th August, 2016.
Margaret Watts, Katie Smith & Rebecca Wigfield, Desborough Town BC beat Kathy King, Heather Ainsworth &
Enid Bone, Bedford Borough BC 40-3 shots – yes 40-3 shots is correct!
The score line tells its own story, quite frankly, that the Bedfordshire trio was totally outplayed, by a set of County
players who just played top class bowls with no opposition to speak of against them. They picked up 4 shots on the 1st
end, then a count of 2, then another pick up of 4 shots followed by a single and a further count of 4 shots to be leading
15-0 after just 5 ends of play.
On the 6th end when the County triple was holding about 5 shots the Bedfordshire skip, Enid Bone, who was a member
at Rushden Town BC not too long ago, did play a decent bowl which rested off one of the shot bowls and dropped in
for 1 shot to her, but a count of 3 shots on the next end, followed by a massive pick up of 6 shots on the 8 th end saw
the Desborough ladies 24-1 up, and it was clear that they were romping away with the match.
-8Bedfordshire did collect two singles in the next 2 ends, but when the County trio picked up another 4 shots count on
the 11th end and another massive count of 6 shots on the 12 th end, the finale was near at 34-3 with just 6 ends left.
Having picked up just 3 singles so far it was very unlikely that the Beds ladies were going to ever score at a level of
5/6 shots each end of the 6 remaining, but they carried on for 2 more ends, dropping a single on the 13th, and another
big score of 5 shots on the 14th end before they called it a day.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE MEN – MCBA versus NOTTINGHAMSHIRE BA
The men of Bowls Northamptonshire visited Newark Northern BC on Saturday, 13 th August, 2016, to play
Nottinghamshire in the last of the Midland Counties Championship matches for 2016, knowing that they required 21
points to take the title from Leicestershire, and they so very nearly managed it. They won the match but could raise
just 18 points, so the title evaded them.
-10The County was in control for 90% of the match and at 19 ends were 13 shots up and with 6 winning rinks across the
green. The 20th end for all 6 rinks was not favourable as each rink dropped 1 or 2 shots but at that stage the County still
had 4 winning rinks and 2 tied, so, with one end to play it was still possible to get the required points. However with
one end of play across the rinks one of the tying rinks conceded 1 shot with another rink already laying 2/3 shots down
unfortunately conceding a 7 whilst attempting to kill the head.
The rink that conceded the large score on the last end had been 5-16 shots down at 10 ends of play and but they clawed
their way back to be 18-16 shots up after 18 ends, which in itself was a remarkable effort and illustrated the effort put
in by the County to secure the title.
Final score was Northamptonshire 110 shots (18 points) – Nottinghamshire 101 shots (4 points). Rink scores, Notts

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE MEN ‘FRIENDLY’ versus LEICESTERSHIRE
The men of Bowls Northamptonshire entertained their counterparts from Leicestershire to a friendly match on
Thursday, 11th August, 2016, at Thrapston BC, and despite having 3 winning rinks and one tied, the 2 losing rinks did
so by enough shots to give the visitors the win by 13 shots. The highest scoring of the County’s rinks was that
skipped by Richard Somerton with an advantage of 6 shots, but not far behind were those skipped by local Thrapston
bowler Malc Mattinson with a 4 shots win and that skipped by John Cooper with a 3 shots win.
Final score was Northamptonshire 109 shots – Leicestershire 122 shots. Rink details, Leicestershire skips only, as
