In addition, we would expect pupils in KS1 to read for 10-15 minutes 5 times a week and pupils in KS2 to read for between 20-30 minutes per night. This will support your child in developing reading skills which
are so essential for all areas of learning. It should include a range of fiction and non-fiction texts and be recorded in Reading Diaries up to Year 5.
