This is HOW TO GET to HOTEL INTERCONTINENTAL from the BUDAPEST AIRPORT by public transport First of all, buy your tickets at the Relay store as you come out of the Arrival gate in the airport. You have to buy 2 Single Tickets for the bus and the metros that cost 350,-­‐ HUF each (that is 700,-­‐ HUF altogether) Take Bus Nr 200E – the bus stop is close to the exit of the airport building. You have to validate one of your Single Tickets on the bus. Travel 9 stops, it takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at “Kőbánya-­‐Kispest M” – it is the last stop of the bus actually. The bus stop before that is called “Felsőcsatári út”. Once you got off the bus take the stairs to the footbridge to reach the metro station (or you can take the elevator that is a little further on). The sign you have to follow for the metro is a blue M3. Cross the footbridge and go downstairs to the station. You have to validate your other Single Ticket at the top of the stairs – there will most probably be controllers asking for it. You will need this validated ticket to travel on the two metro lines, so don’t throw them away! Take the metro on the right (you can’t miss this one, as it is the end station of this metro line, so just follow the people getting on the metro), and travel 10 stops – it takes approximately 16 minutes. Get off at “Deák Ferenc tér” (the station before that is called “Ferenciek tere”). Here at “Deák Ferenc tér” you have to change to the yellow metro line Nr 1 (underground!), the sign is a yellow M1. Follow that sign as you get off the metro, that is: turn left and take the escalator, then turn right on the top of the escalator, and then turn right again after a few meters to reach a passageway to the metro line M1. At the end of the passageway chose the stairs to the left (the sign says: “Vörösmarty tér felé”) and take the metro for one stop. (You don’t have to validate any more tickets, you can use the one you validated for the other metro line) Get off at “Vörösmarty tér”, that is the final station of this line. As you come up the stairs from the metro you arrive to a nice square: Vörösmarty tér -­‐Turn around and go 32 meters to reach the first street: Dorottya utca. -­‐ Turn right and go along this street for 77 meters. Then -­‐ turn left at the first: Szende Pál utca. Go 82 meters along this street, then -­‐ turn right on the first called Apáczai Csere János utca. Go 130 meters straight on this street (along the back of the Hotel) and -­‐ turn left at the end of the building to find the main entrance of the event venue Hotel InterContinental with the reception.
