Inventing a game with no man-made equipment Indigenous Australians have traditionally played some exciting games, but without any of the man-made sports equipment we have today. Imagine you no longer have access to any of the sporting equipment currently available to you at home (e.g. balls, bikes, skipping ropes, etc.) and design a physically active game that can be played by two or more people, requiring only natural resources (used in an environmentally friendly way). You may modify an existing game by changing the equipment to natural resources and changing the rules and playing space. Present your game as a poster on the back of this sheet, so that others may read it and understand how to play. Use diagrams and words to make it simple to read. Points for this project: Score out of 100. Your team members will receive the same score so work together, don’t leave it up to one person to do most of the work. Name – relevant to the game (10 points) Rules – easy to follow , rules are fair, all players are active (40) Safety rule – explains how to play safely (20 points) Equipment – no man-made resources (10 points) Where to find/how to make equipment (10 points) Where to play – a safe environment (10 points) Write notes on the back of this page and then ask for a poster page for your final copy. It will be displayed for everyone in the school to see.
