Beatty, LMSW A life well lived is what we all strive for. How we each choose to live varies, but as a whole the element that is identical in each case is that we all want to be happy. When we pursue happiness and work to be our best selves, we have lived a good life. Sometimes though, we are sidetracked from the path that leads us to our goals. We become involved in situations that encompass our days and follow others that seem to have what we seek. We forget what it is in fact that we were looking for to begin with and don't know how to get back on track. June 11 - Val-Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Cottage: “The greatest thing I have learned is how good it is to come home again.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt. This simple statement expresses her love for the modest house she called Val-Kill. The site consists of 180 acres approximately two miles east of Springwood, the Hyde Park Roosevelt family home and is the only National Historic Site dedicated to a first lady! June 20 - Lauren’s Going Away Party— Lauren has been working for CWA Local 1180 for 24 years (18 in the Retiree Division!)! She’s moving to out of state and we are throwing her a going away party!! 12:00pm—3:00pm. Bring any pictures you may have of her through the years! Tues. June 24—Retiree Division Showcase! - The classes are going to show off their stuff!! Come to this exciting show. Reception to follow. 11:30 – 2:30. Guests as well as Participants must RSVP!!!! Wed. June 25 - Legal Update: An attorney from the law firm of Mirkin & Gordon will be here to discuss your legal benefit. Time: 1:30pm - 3:00pm. Fri. June 27 - Restaurant Club - Ellen’s Stardust Diner: This retro 1950 theme Diner’s singing waiters are the future stars of screen and stage!
