Gerald R. Ford was the 38th president. He was born on July 14,
1913 in Nebraska. He had three boys and one daughter. I
believe he should have got a second term. Ford was involved in
boy scouts. He became an eagle scout. He was the highest
scout in his group except for the din leader. He got his
education at the university Michigan. He fought in naval service
in World War II. Ford received a commission as ensign in the
U.S. naval. He was a republican. His middle name is Rudolph.
He loved his wife Betty. He had very good characteristics. On

at Annapolis, Maryland. After one month of training, he went to
Navy Preflight School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he
was one of 83 instructors and taught elementary navigation
skills, ordnance, gunnery, first aid and military drill. After
returning to Grand Rapids, Ford became active in local
Republican politics. Now his son’s names and daughter’s name

Franklin Roosevelt is the 32nd president of the United States of America. He was
born on the date of January 30, 1882 and died on April 12, 1945. His mother was a
strong, willing person and his dad was a financer. Franklin has one sibling his
name is James and he is Franklin’s half-brother. Franklin’s wife’s name is Eleanor
Roosevelt. After marriage he then had one daughter and four sons- James, Elliot,
Franklin Jr., and John Aspinwall. In the year of 1921 Franklin was paralyzed by
Polio (an acute viral disease marked by inflammation of nerve cells of the brain
stem and spinal cord). He lost the use in his legs and did everything he could
possible do to help him regain his strength again. Franklin even bought a spa to
help with his polio disease and oddly enough it did help! Before taking office he
attempted to run for vice president against James X. Cox in 1920. Although he
ended up not winning. Franklin Roosevelt then studied the law more thoroughly
for a couple of years. He was elected governor of New York on the date of 19291933. Franklin Roosevelt then was elected president during the years of 19331945. He took leadership when The Unites States was in a devastating time.
Franklin Roosevelt brought hope to our country as he promised. While he was in
office there were a lot of big events happening in the Unites States of America
such as Social Security Act, World War II, Pearl Harbor, and Yalta conference. He
led our nation through hard times. We will always remember him as a
determined, confident man and may he rest in peace.

November 2, 2004. He was president for a total of 8 years. In his first 6 months in office, George W Bush
had accomplished most of his 2000 campaign trial agenda. President Bush focused on too many issues;
both of them domestic, first he insisted that, with the federal budget in surplus Americans were entitled
to a significant tax cut. Second he vowed and increased in federal funding for educational as part of a
sleeping plan for an accountability from the states and districts. The schools would have to improve
reading and math, particularly among minority students. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Bush moved
as a toddler to west Texas and had what he has described as an idyllic up bringing impost world war ll
Midland, the oldest son of eastern parents trying to carve out the own identity. This sense of serenity
was broken by the death of his little sister, Robin from childhood Leukemia, a family tragedy that haunts
him still to this day.

Rutherford B. Hayes
President Hayes was born October 4, 1822 in Delaware, Ohio. Son
of Rutherford and Sofia Hayes. In 1817 President Hayes’ father took the
family to Ohio, but died 10 weeks before he was born. President Hayes
and his sister Franny were the only two of four children to survive. His
brother Lorenzo, died at the age of three, and his sister died before
birth.
President Hayes went to one of the common schools in Delaware
in 1836. He later attended Kenton College in 1838. He graduated with
highest honors and valedictorian. In 1843 he went onto Harvard Law
School.
President Hayes then moved to Cincinnati in 1850, and opened a
law office with lawyer, John W. Herron. Hayes countered his wife, Lucy
Hale while working there. Hayes’ mother wanted him to get to know
Lucy earlier, but the thought she was too young. Four years later he
started spending more time with her. They became engaged in 1851,
and got married December 30, 1852.
He was a well-known Congressman and former solider. While
running the campaign for Governor of Ohio, Hayes was sure he lost, but
he actually won by 2,983 votes. He was a republican governor with a
democratic legislature, so he had limited governing role. Hayes used his
role in office to build a school for deaf-mutes, and a reform school for
girls. He was elected for a second term in 1869.
He died from a heart attack in his home, January 17, 1890.
