You see a man as sick as a horse. He’s in the winter cold with
a box of tissues almost gone. You walk up to him and say.
“Do you need a ride home”. And he says “Yes” and he has no family. What do you do to help him?
What you should do his take him home and make him part of the
family and fix him a warm meal.
What you should not do is ignore him and drive away.

Today I’m going to introduce you to a second grade
girl named Aida Kudic. She told me that her favorite
movie is Despicable Me and her favorite book is Pinkalicious. When she grows up, she wants to become a vet.
Her favorite celebrity is Justin Bieber. The naughtiest
thing Aida has ever done is take out the lenses to her
older sister’s glasses, but in return, she got her sister a
present. When Aida moves on to third grade, she wants
Mrs. Bovy to be her teacher. I
hope she gets to be in her
class!

You will never believe this, but there is a famous musician with the same first
name as mine. It’s Meredith Willson and it’s a he.
Meredith Willson’s full name is Robert Meredith Willson. He was born May 18, 1902
in Mason City, Iowa and sadly died June 15, 1984. He was a composer, conductor,
and a playwright best known for writing the music and lyrics for the hit Broadway
musical The Music Man.
A famous Christmas song that most of us probably know is “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot
Like Christmas” that he wrote in 1951. There are many surprises in this article and here’s another
one. The song was originally called “It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas”.
Everyone should know who Alvin and the Chipmunks are and they sang the song for
their 1961 album. But then they sang it again for their 1981 album.
I hope you enjoyed this article about Robert Meredith Willson!

You would never think that these two women would end up meeting each other. They are two of the
most unpopular people in the world.
It all started one night in Pimpleton, Iowa. Mrs. Callamash was just sitting, watching her “soup operas”
when Floops the Cat fell through the roof and landed on the T.V. It was about two minutes later before Mrs.
Callamash said, “ What?!” Her voice sounded crackly, just like Rice Crispies.
“I finally found you!”, shouted Floops.
Mrs. Callamash replied, “What do you mean? Why were you looking for me?”
Floops was surprised. “ You mean, y-you don’t remember me?”, Floops said, trying to hold back a tear.
“Don’t cry, Dear. I don’t even remember what I had for breakfast this morning!”, said Mrs. Callamash,
her voice sounding more like Rice Crispies.
“ You don’t understand!”, said Floops, crying now.
“I understand perfectly fine, Dear!”, said Mrs. Callamash in a soothing voice.
Floops burst with anger. “IF YOU DID UNDERSTAND WE WOULDN’T BE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION!!!”
Mrs. Callamash was surprised by Floops anger. She didn’t know what to say. She had known what she
had for breakfast and what Floops was talking about.
“I understand that you don’t understand.”, said Floops.
She was just about to leave, but then Mrs. Callamash shouted, “ WAIT! Don’t leave! I know what you
are talking about! I am Potato Woman and I am not afraid to admit it!” She was just about out of breath so she
sat down.
“ So you do understand me!” Floops was so relieved!
“Let’s get on the road, Partner.”, said Mrs. Callamash.
It wasn’t long before Mrs. Callamash and Floops were on the road to secret location 6,090. “Do you remember what it looks like?”, asked Floops.
“Do I ever!” After easily 6 hours in the Helicopter/Car/Submarine, they were finally at secret location
6,090 .
“Let’s get into action, um, what’s your name?”, asked Potato Woman, scratching her head.

“ I’m Hairball Girl, remember, I saved Hawaii?”, said Floops.
They entered with the Plowermajigy that Potato Woman’s husband made. They made it go reverse up
the wall. So, they got in without being seen, although , they had some trouble not being seen or heard.
“Okay, let’s go!”, said Hairball Girl in a whisper.
“What are we after?” , asked Potato Woman, confused.
“The golden chedda, some say it holds MINE CONTROLING cheese!”, said Hairball Girl.
Suddenly Hairball Girl started hacking “Hack, Hack, Hack!” “Sorry, hairball”, said Hairball
Girl. Hairball Girl blew out a big hairball. “ Better now.”, said Hairball Girl.
Suddenly, everything turned black. “W-what’s going on here!”, shouted Floops. Then they heard a
slight screech like the ones you would hear at a Jonas Brothers Concert. “I-I don’t like this!”, shouted Floops
again. Potato Women knew exactly what was going on.
“Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo! I am Professor Chedda! Gimme a dance party and I’m okay!”, said Professor
Chedda, the holder of the cheese.
“What, that doesn’t even make any sense!” said Potato Woman.
“Well, I’m Professor Chedda, so it doesn’t matter! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!”, he replied. Then a flash and a
bang ,then a spot light on Professor Chedda, then the most stupid song came on and he was the one singing. It
went like this,………..
“You’re trapped in my lair.. you’re stuck and you can’t get freeeeee! But there is one
chance you can get out, but I’m not going to mention it because you might get freeeeee! SO FOGET about it!
You are stuck in a sticky situationnnnnnnn! So HA! Take thaaaaaaaaat HA HAAAAAAAAA! You will never
get FREEEEEEEEHEEEEEEHAAAAAA ! YOU’RE TRAAAAAAAAAAPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH BABY!!!”
“Oh my gosh.”, said Potato Women.
“Tell me about it!”, said Hairball Girl.
“Okay, I guess, If I have to! I’ll give you hard drive.”, said Professor Chedda. Professor Chedda gave
them the Hard drive. “ I’m going to go into my helicopter and fly away now. I’ll steal it from you tomorrow!”, said Professor Chedda.
“Another job well done!”, said Potato Women. “Hey, we never knew what this hard drive does! Let
see.” They put the hard drive in the plowermajigy’s U.S.B. port. They were so surprised when they saw that it
was just a recipe for cheese casserole. “Ouch!”

The Adventures of Sam and Pam
The Journey to Mermaid Cove
By: Fiona Dalbey
Last Time: Sam and Pam finally found their parents. But, there was a nasty surprise. A kraken stole their parents! Will they ever save them? And
who IS this girl who showed up at the very wrong time?
Pam fell to the ground.
“Pam!” Sam shouted cautiously. “Are you hurt?”.
“No…” Pam moaned. “Not again…why? We…we… we were so close…”she cried.
“Get up, we have work to do.” The girl who was there when the kraken stole their parents said.
“But…” Pam said sadly. “Okay I guess we can go,”
6 hours later…
“Who are you anyway?” Pam asked the girl.
“Paige, my father was the captain of the ship,” the girl answered.
“Where are we going? Why should we trust you?” Sam asked suddenly.
“Mermaid Cove, the mermaids will know where your parents went, and besides, do you have a choice to trust me or not?” Paige asked.
“Well… I guess your kinda, sorta, right…..” Pam said, realizing it was either having Paige’s help, or bye bye parents.
“Well, let’s hurry to Mermaid Cove then!” Sam exclaimed.
Off the three friends went, not knowing what surprises were in store at this enchanted place….

Guess What!? We have an inside walking trail for the winter!!
In case it is too cold to walk outside this the winter, Mrs. Bockes
made an inside walking trail.
The inside walking trail works the same as the outside one
but just a little different. The paws that you see throughout the
building show you the path to take on the walking trail.

I went around and I asked some students and a couple staff and asked “Who inspires
you?” Here is what they said...
Sam Russell: His mom, Karla. Sam said why his mom inspires him is because she pushes
him to do his best.
Abby Avis: Taylor Swift, because Taylor Swift is a country singer and Abby wants to be
one too.
Shelby Levendusky: Her mom, Lisa. Shelby said her mom inspires her because she helps
her.
Madison Ghee: Tempearce Brenden, because he is famous and smart.
Those were some students I asked, but here are a couple staff members I asked…
Mrs. Johnson: Vince Lombardi because he was the former coach of the Green Bay Packers. Also because of this little caption he announced. “Football is a great deal like life in
that teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority are the price that each and every one of us must pay to achieve any
goal that is worthwhile.”
Mrs. Ellison: Her mom because she is the best remodel to her.
I hope you enjoyed learning about these people and who they look up to. Think about
it “Who do you look up too?”
