Community Facilities and Amenities

When are the fitness classes held and where?
The nearest gym is LA Fitness, located at 3838 Richmond Ave. We also feature a 24 hour fitness center and offer
complimentary Yoga classes every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the Click Café.

What are the hours of the amenities?
The Gael and Essex offers two pools open from 10 am – 10 pm
Fitness Center: open 24 hours
Click Café with Wi-Fi and Starbucks coffee: open 24 hours

Where do I dispose of my trash?
You will find small, grey trash receptacles on each level of the parking garages. There are larger waste containers located
just past the entry of both The Gael & Essex.

Where are the recycling centers?
We pride ourselves on taking care of the environment. You will find recycling bins next to trash receptacles.

What do I do with my move in boxes?
Please break down all boxes and place in the trash receptacles or, preferably, in the recycle bins.

How does my fob/remote work?
Gate remotes are used to open both property gates to enter and exit. The remote can also be held up to the grey panel
located outside the Click Café to gain entry.

Where are the mail boxes located?
Gael mailboxes are at the garage entrance on the right. Essex mailboxes are on the back side of the leasing office by the
pool.

Do you have resident activities or events?
Yes! We offer monthly events to give our residents an opportunity to meet their neighbors. Residents will be notified of
upcoming events via email or in our monthly newsletter.

Can I have a party at the pool?
To ensure the mutual enjoyment of the pool by all of our residents, we permit 2 guests per apartment.

Where is the best place for me to park?
Parking in either garage is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You are welcome to park on any level. There are carports on
the 3rd level of the Gael garage that are assigned and reserved. If you are interested in reserving one, please contact the
leasing office.

Conveniences

How do I pay rent online?
We have made paying your rent easy by setting you up with your personal on line account to the Gables Gateway. You
will go to www.gables.com and click on the Resident Login key in the upper right hand corner. Select the link to set up
your Gables Gateway account or contact the leasing office if this is your first time logging in.

How do I use Gables Connect?
At The Gael & Essex House, you may set up your electricity, phone, cable, internet, and renter’s liability insurance with
ease at www.gablesconnect.com.

Where can I access Wi-Fi in the building?
Wireless internet is available inside the Click Café and around the pool at each community. You may contact the leasing
office for connectivity information.

Where is the rent drop box?
To drop off rent checks after business hours, there is a slot located in the mailbox corridor at each community.

Do you have a courtesy officer onsite and how do I get a hold of them?
Yes, we have a courtesy officer onsite. After office hours, call the main office line and follow the prompt to leave a
message for the “Courtesy Officer”. He will return your call shortly. Should you ever witness any suspicious criminal
activity, always call 911 for local law enforcement.
Guests

Where can my guest park?
All parking in both garages is first-come, first-serve. Visitors may park anywhere except under the reserved carports on
the top floor of the Gael Garage.

Where do my movers park?
The garages have an 8 foot clearance. Larger moving trucks should park on Essex Lane and use the pedestrian gate
entrances.

Where does the delivery person come in or do I have to meet them?
Delivery people will need to use the guest call box to enter the gate to get to your apartment. You will receive a call on
the phone line that you provide upon move-in when your delivery person arrives. If you wish to permit entry, press “9”.
In the event you are not home at the time of a delivery, the office can accept packages for you. However the office will
not sign or be responsible for any packages.

How many guests can I have with me at the amenities?
Two guests are welcome to join you in any our amenity areas.

How do I let friends in the gate?
Guests will utilize the call box located by both building entrances. They will scroll for the apartment number and dial the
4 digit code provided. Residents will answer the call and presses “9” to allow entry access.
Maintenance

How do I submit service requests?
Service Requests may be submitted by either calling the office at 713-622-4644, sending an email to [email protected],
in person, or through Gables Gateway.

What do I do if I have an after hour maintenance emergency?
For a maintenance emergency, you may call our office number at 713-622-4644 and follow the prompt to leave a
message for “Maintenance Emergency”. Our service team member will return your call shortly.


Do you have a dog park?
Yes, we have a dog-run area in both parking garages. They are allowed off the leash, but please remember to pickup
after your pets. The Danny Jackson Family Bark Park is located at 4828 ½ Loop Central Drive, near Westpark and
Newcastle.

Where is the best place to walk my pet?
The green areas around the property are appropriate to walk your pets. Please help us to maintain a clean and pleasant
community by always picking up after your pets. There are many doggie stations throughout the community.

Do I have to have my dog on a leash?
For the safety of your dog and all residents, we require that all dogs be on a leash at all times when outside your
apartment home.
