Emergency
Preparedness Kit
Dear Parents/Guardian,
It is always our aim to maintain a safe, high quality learning environment for our students. As part of that aim we plan for and
regularly practice emergency procedures. If we had a big earthquake or other emergency there is no guarantee that you would be able
to get to the school right away to pick up your child. Because of this we would like every child to have a small packet of supplies to
last them through the day. Below is our recommended list of items to put in your child’s emergency kit. Thank you for your help in
keeping your child comfortable and safe in an emergency.
Evergreen Individual Emergency Kit
1 small box of dry cereal (individual size)
4 snack items such as, fruit roll ups, cheese or peanut butter and crackers, nuts or dried fruit, etc.
1 pair of socks
1 space blanket
1 bottle of water
1 juice box
We recommend that you include a picture and an encouraging note from home enclosed in an envelope. If you would like to include
other items that fit in the
Zip-lock bag you are welcome to.
No glass containers or made food items. Please check the expiration dates.
Place items in a gallon size zip-lock bag and send to school as soon as possible.
