MARS

MICROWAVE DIGESTION SYSTEM
The Clear Solution
what makes MARS 6
the best microwave digestion system?
SENSORS
METHODS
The MARS™ 6 features integrated sensor
technologies designed to make the
system so simple to operate, it’s virtually
effortless. Vessel recognition and
vessel counting sensors automatically
recognize the type and number of
vessels that have been placed in the
cavity. Optimum digestion conditions
for sample type and number of vessels
are selected while sensors monitor the
reaction and adjust the power to ensure
a complete digestion.
CEM’s One Touch takes the guess work
out of sample preparation. Simply
choose from the pre-installed methods
and the MARS 6 does the rest. One
Touch automatically determines all of
the parameters, adjusts power output,
and performs the digestion for all
sample types.
How
Important
is Wattage?
Wattage is only one of many factors when it comes to
microwave acid digestion. Another major component
is cavity size. As the cavity size increases, more
wattage is needed to digest a sample. The better
indicator of digestive power is watts per liter or the
power density.
VESSELS
Samples can be digested in the
MARSXpress™ and EasyPrep™
families of vessels. The simple-to-use
MARSXpress and MARSXpress™ Plus
are the easiest-to-assemble vessels
on the market and are ideal for
high-throughput labs. The simplest
to assemble high-temperature and
high-pressure vessels available are the
EasyPrep and EasyPrep Plus, which
are well suited for large or difficult
applications.
