The DC Career Guide provides the detailed steps of career development for District ECE and OST professionals. There are 12 steps or levels on the Career Guide that represent increased training and education attainment across the various early childhood settings. Why should I use the PDR? The PDR provides a number of benefits for program Directors: - Ability to view individual staff completed trainings, and professional development activities or compiled records for all staff at your program; Access to the trainer database that provides information on OSSE approved trainers and training courses to help facilitate the planning process for your staff’s professional development needs; and A repository for documents required by licensing including completion of required trainings, clock hours, credentialing, and education requirements. How do I access the PDR? The PDR is accessible at the following url www.dcpdr.com. The system can also be accessed on Learn DC at www.learndc.org . Who is eligible to participate in the PDR Director/Center Incentive Program? Directors of District of Columbia licensed child care subsidy programs are eligible to participate in the incentive award program. PDR ECE and OST Incentive Plan p. 2 What is the incentive award? The incentive award includes a FREE Creative Curriculum Training Coupon valued at $4,450 for the Director/ Center. How will incentive winners be selected? The three (3) licensed Child Development Centers who accept subsidies and have the highest percentage of staff who are registered in the PDR, AND who have received confirmation, via email, of a completed initial application of a Career Guide level during the incentive period will receive the FREE Creative Curriculum Training Coupon Incentive. For how long will this incentive program run? The incentive program will run for two 30 day periods from August 1th through August 30th and September 1st through September 30th, 2013. Winners will be selected for each 30 day period. What if my staff needs assistance registering an account in the PDR or completing a Career Guide level? Technical assistance and support is available by contacting the PDR Registry Coordinator at (202) 862-1111, Option 2. While technical assistance is available to assist with PDR registration or completing a Career Guide level, the incentive is still awarded on a first come, first serve basis regardless of technical difficulties. Where can I find trainings on how to register in the PDR and apply for a Career Guide Level?
