‘Triple A’ Challenge Programme Aspiration, Achievement, Ability Welcome to our new ‘Triple A Challenge Programme’ at Okehampton College! The Triple A Challenge Programme is a Dartmoor Federation Award scheme designed to inspire young people to aspire, achieve and celebrate their ability, throughout their College career. The Triple A programme is comprised of a series of challenges which aim to stretch, challenge, engage and motivate our students in a wide range of skills and subjects. There is no limit to the number of challenges a student can achieve. The challenges can be completed in any order and once completed earns them a coloured pin badge to wear on their College jumper. Number of challenges completed Pin Badge awarded 2 Challenges Red 4 Challenges Blue 6 Challenges Bronze 8 Challenges Silver 10 Challenges Gold Most importantly, the challenges encourage students to learn new skills, aspire to go beyond their comfort zone, seek high levels of achievement, make positive contributions to society and better themselves academically, socially and emotionally. The series of challenges can be found attached, along with information on what has to be produced and which teacher to find, in order to get a challenge signed off for completion. Students simply take a ‘Challenge Completion Card’ to the designated member of staff and once enough challenges have been completed, the student will be awarded with his or her pin badge and certificate. The completion of a challenge is held in high esteem and will be celebrated across the College. We will notify you via letters and certificates when your child completes a new challenge. The Triple A Challenge Programme has been launched with Year 8 and will be College-wide from September 2015. We hope that your child is excited about starting the Triple A Challenge and we look forward to celebrating their success with them.
