From Coach John & Ryan:
Many of you received an article from Coach John titled
“Stanford Athletes sleep for better Performance”.
The article talks about a sleep debt and encourages everyone
to aim to get 10 hours of sleep or at least 2—3 hours more a
night than you currently do. The article says that it is not that
the athletes couldn’t perform they were doing fine but they
might not have been at their full potential. They also state that
too much sleep can be just as harmful so they suggest 7 to 9
hours of sleep being optimal and should be a part of an
athletes training program, along side nutrition and weight
lifting.
Coach Ryan tried this himself and said that he felt AWESOME
the next day!
