• Describe what life was like for the Keppel Islanders
(Woppaburra people) before contact with
Europeans.
• Infer the reasons for changes to the traditional
Woppaburra way of life.
• Identify some effects of contact with Europeans for
the Woppaburra people.
STEP 2
Investigating the evidence by locating information in
the video clip
Students are invited to view the video and listen carefully
to Bob Muir’s story.
Students need to consider land and sea environments
presented in the video.
Teachers are encouraged to discuss (with the whole
class) stions that students have after watching the video.
