The associate degree program is designed
to train health information management
personnel to perform a variety of technical
heath information functions that include
the analysis, the security, the integration,
and the management of health information.
Graduates of our associate of applied science
(A.A.S.) degree program are eligible to write
for the national certification exam to become a
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
A career in health information management
combines patients care, management, and
technology in various professional work settings
that would include hospitals, clinics, law firms,
health maintenance organizations, insurance
companies, nursing homes, health data
organizations, and health information vendors.
