Description:
The 1 kb DNA Ladder has a number of proprietary plasmids
that are digested to completion with appropriate restriction
enzymes to yield 10 bands suitable for use as molecular
weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis. The
digested DNA includes fragments ranging from 0.5–10.0 kb.
The 3.0 kb fragment has increased intensity to serve as a
reference band.
The dsRNA Ladder is a set of 7 annealed double-stranded RNA
molecules produced by in vitro transcription of 14 linear DNA
templates. The ladder sizes are: 500, 300, 150, 80, 50, 30 and
21 base pairs. All have 2-base, 3´ extensions. The 80 base pair
fragment is at double intensity to serve as a reference band.
This ladder is suitable for use as a size standard in dsRNA and
RNAi analysis on both non-denaturing polyacrylamide and
agarose gels.
The 100 bp DNA Ladder has a number of proprietary
plasmids that are digested to completion with appropriate
restriction enzymes to yield 12 bands suitable for use as
molecular weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis.
The digested DNA includes fragments ranging from
100–1517 bp. The 500 and 1,000 base pair fragments have
increased intensity to serve as reference points.
The siRNA Marker contains three synthetic annealed siRNA
duplexes that are 17, 21 and 25 base pairs in length. All have 2
base 3´ overhangs.
The 2-Log DNA Ladder has a number of proprietary plasmids
that are digested to completion with appropriate restriction
enzymes to yield 19 bands suitable for use as molecular
weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis. This
digested DNA includes fragments ranging from 100 base
pairs (bp) to 10 kilobases (kb). The 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 kb bands
have increased intensity to serve as reference points.
The Quick-Load DNA Ladders are pre-mixed, ready-to-load
molecular weight markers containing bromophenol blue as a
tracking Dye.
The 50 bp DNA Ladder has a number of proprietary plasmids
that are digested to completion with appropriate restriction
enzymes to yield 17 bands suitable for use as molecular
weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis. The digested DNA includes fragments ranging from 50–1350 bp. The
200 and 500 base pair fragments have increased intensity to
serve as reference points.
The Low Molecular Weight DNA Ladder has a number of
proprietary plasmids that are digested to completion with
appropriate restriction enzymes to yield 11 bands suitable
for use as molecular weight standards for both agarose
and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The digested DNA
includes fragments ranging from 25–766 bp. The 200 base
pair band has increased intensity to serve as reference
points.
The PCR Marker consists of 5 double-stranded DNA bands
that are suitable for use as molecular weight standards
for agarose and acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The PCR
Marker includes fragments ranging from 50–766 bp.
The ssRNA Ladder is a set of 7 RNA molecules produced by
in vitro transcription of a mixture of 7 linear DNA templates. The ladder sizes are: 9000, 7000, 5000, 3000, 2000,
1000 and 500 bases. The 3000 base fragment is at double
intensity to serve as a reference band. This ladder is suitable
for use as an RNA size standard on denaturing or native
agarose gels.
The TriDye DNA Ladders are pre-mixed, ready-to-load molecular weight markers containing 3 dyes which serve as visual
aids to monitor the progress of migration during agarose gel
electrophoresis.
Storage Conditions: DNA Ladders and the ds RNA Ladder are
supplied in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 1.0 mM EDTA. For long
term storage store at –20°C. All DNA Ladders and PCR Marker
are stable for at least 3 months at 4°C.
ssRNA Ladders are supplied in 20 mM K0Ac (pH 4.5). Store at
–70°C. For short term storage (< 1 week), ladder can be stored
at –20°C.
siRNA Markers are supplied in 3% Ficoll 400, 1 mM EDTA and
0.06% orange. Store at –20°C.
Concentration: 500 µg/ml (1 kb, 100 bp, dsRNA Ladder and
Low Molecular Weight) 1,000 µg/ml (2-Log and 50 bp), 300
µg/ml (PCR Marker), 500 µg/ml (ssRNA Ladder) and 30 ng/µl
(siRNA Marker).
Recommended Load:
1 kb DNA Ladder: 0.5 µg
100 bp DNA Ladder: 0.5 µg
2-Log DNA Ladder: 1.0 µg
50 bp DNA Ladder: 1.0 µg
