• Garbage: collected every second week, maximum 4 untagged bags/cans
• Green bin and blue box: collected weekly, no limit
• Bulky items and appliances: collected every second week,
maximum 3 items
• Small apartment building (3 - 6 units) collection:

CollectableWaste:ONLYwastegeneratedfromtheresidentialpremise.
CollectionTime:Timesvaryforcollectionasdifferentmaterialsarecollectedbydifferenttrucks.Allmaterial
mustbeoutby7a.m.oncollectiondaytoensurepickup. Non-CollectableWaste:notpreparedproperlyorbannedfromlandfill.
Properlyprepared:
• Notoverweight.Maximumweightof23kg(50pounds).
• Clearlyvisible, notbehindparkedcarsorotherobstacles.
• Easilyaccessible, withinreachfromthestreet,andatgroundlevel(notonorbehindasnowbank).
• Notinacardboardbox.Cardboardisrecyclableandbannedfromlandfill;itshouldnotbeusedasa
containeranditwillnotbepickedup.
• Bagsnotrippedortorn.Unsecuredortornbagswillnotbepickedup.

• BlueboxesarenotavailablethroughtheRegionandcanbepurchasedatmanylocalretailers.
TIP:Goodsortingisimportantforrecycling.Pleaseusetwoblueboxes:oneforcontainers(bottles,
cartons,cans),andasecondoneforpaperproductsandplasticbags.
• Maximumweightofeachgreenbinorblueboxis23kg/50pounds.
Cardboard:Flattenandtiewithstringintobundlesnotexceeding75cm(30inches)by75cm(30inches)by
20cm(8inches).Collectedwithrecyclables,placenexttothebluebox.
