Bringing Jewish film to Manchester
Our aim is to bring you the best of films, with a
Jewish/Israeli link or theme, from around the world.
However, please don’t feel that you have to be
Jewish or belong to Menorah to join. We welcome
everyone aged 18 years plus.
By joining Menorah's Film Club you have the chance
to choose our future films. We also offer the
opportunity to enjoy relaxing after the film with
refreshments and discussing the varied and exciting
films you’ve seen.

As we say: what's not to like!
All screenings are at Menorah, normally on the first
Tuesday of the month, at 7.45 pm (see overleaf).
There’s ample parking in Menorah’s grounds.
Light refreshments are provided after each
screening and are included in the membership/ticket
costs
Please note that all films are subject to availability.
Menorah Film Club reserves the right to alter our film
programme if forced to do so by factors beyond our

A young Orthodox Jew in 1911 tries to make his living by peddling
fabrics door to door in the South Wales Valleys while hiding his
ethnicity. On one of his sales, he meets and falls in love with a
demure young gentile woman with a strong-willed father and a
Jew-hating brother. The two fall in love and she becomes pregnant, but only then does she learn of his ethnic background.
