September is Senior Center Month
Since September is National Senior Center
Month I thought it would
be appropriate to hold an
open house. It is my hope
to get more of our senior
population to come
through our doors and
become active members.
We welcome new participants to try any of our
many activities or just
make new friends and
socialize. The date of the
open house is Monday,
September 15th, between
the hours of 9:30 and
1:00. Our schedule will
continue as usual that
day.

Renee Dupre, one of our
members, brought to my
attention the airing of
this program . This is a
seven part documentary
by Ken Burns. The fourteen hour documentary
weaves together the stories of Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. It will air September
14-20, twice each night at
8 and 10 p.m. on your
local PBS station.

We have filled one bus
and are trying to fill another one! The cutoff
date to sign up is September 9th. There is no
better place to see the
bright colors of fall than
here. Your motor coach
will travel to the White
Mountains where we will
visit the historic Mt.
Washington Hotel. Take a
step back in time as we
enjoy a delicious buffet
lunch in the main dining
room followed by a guided
tour of this beautiful hotel.
The cost is $99. Departs
Londonderry Senior Center at 9:45 am returning at
5 pm.
Please feel free to ask
friends to join us. The
trip is for adults over 55
and you do not need to
be a member of LSCI
to attend. In the event
we cannot fill the second bus, checks/cash
will be returned.
