A Research Interviewer is responsible for placing calls to obtain data for completed client-specific studies. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to, persuading reluctant respondents to cooperate, accurately coding of a respondents’ answers, following strict guidelines for obtaining consistent unbiased raw data, answering respondents’ questions about the company and study procedures, practicing good customer service techniques at all times, practicing good telephone techniques at all times, placing calls to telephone numbers in a sample selected for client specific studies, maintaining confidentiality of procedures, scripts, and respondent information at all times, making decisions regarding appropriate disposition of each telephone number handled and enlisting households cooperation in keeping a Consumer Booklet and a TV/Radio Diary. Research Interviewers have incentives, including pay-for-performance; opportunities to earn monies for referring other qualified Research Interviewers (see program details). WHAT ARE THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF A RESEARCH INTERVIEWER? • • • • • • • High School diploma or GED 6 months Call Center or Customer Service experience preferred Excellent communication skills Clear speaking voice Keyboard skills required Reading ability Fluent in the English language OR English language AND also Spanish PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator. • Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk. Nielsen matches 50% of first 6% of eligible pay on pre-tax and Roth After-tax contributions that you save each pay period. WHEN DO I BECOME VESTED? You’re always 100% vested in your contributions.
