Daybreak Pregnancy Center has undergone some recent changes in staffing, and we want to take a moment to honor our Daybreak family that has moved on, as well as introduce you to some of the new faces God has brought our way! First, after 3 1/2 years with Daybreak, our Medical Manager, Shana Salley, has moved on, and we wish her all the best in the next steps God has for her and her family. Shana filled Daybreak with such love and compassion, equally blessing both our clients and staff. God truly used her to impact countless women's lives and save the lives of the most vulnerable.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thankfully, the Lord brought us a new Nurse Manager, Lauren Pittard. A certified RN, Lauren has been a volunteer counselor at Daybreak for 6 months and has taken over our Ultrasound ministry with a vigorous excitement to seeing the unborn saved. Nina-Business Admin Lauren– Nurse Manager Jeannine– Office Admin Daybreak also has some new faces in our downtown Columbia office. We are pleased to announce the addition of Jeannine Scott and Nina Shifflett. Both bring experience, skill and passion to their jobs at Daybreak! We are so thankful for all our new additions!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx July 1st will be the 4th anniversary of our Lexington location…and it has been an incredible journey!! From the very beginning we have seen how the Lord has provided in ways that we could not even imagine. One of my favorite things to do is to give someone a tour and share how the Lord gave us beautiful furniture, décor and equipment. It’s good for me to remember. It builds my faith to share it. July 1, 2011 was a Friday, and it was the Friday before a big holiday weekend. I still had touch up painting that I wanted to do so I came to the center in my scrubbies. But I brought nice clothes on the off chance that we would actually have a client. Good thing I did because we had a client on our very first day! I still remember her story. That was the beginning of Him teaching me that everyone has a story. Everyone. He has strategically placed us here to show love, grace, compassion to the women, men and children who come here. Because of Jesus, we are making an eternal impact. To God be the glory!! "I'm against abortion… unless the woman has been raped!" How many times have you heard that? For some it’s justifiable for the innocent child who was conceived in rape to pay with it’s life for the crime of his or her father. Lexington has been blessed to come along side two of our clients who chose to see it differently. One of those clients was in last week to show us her six week old son. She could not have been more proud and more in love with that baby! She decided to go to school to get a better job to make a better life for herself and her little girl. But she was missing essential tool for her success -a laptop. We worked with a generous group that provided her with a brand new laptop this past Christmas. These mothers and their children are living, breathing testimonies of how masterfully our Lord redeems and restores! Receipting Change To be good stewards with your donations Daybreak will start receipting our donors on a quarterly basis starting in April in order to save postage costs. April Is Volunteer Appreciation Month This an amazing ministry...but... A FREE conference for teen girls! Everything you ever wanted to know about dating, relationships, guys, beauty, worth, boundaries, purity, and YOU! When: Saturday, June 20th from 12pm-5pm Where: Crossroads World Outreach Center 2606 Emmanuel Church Road West Columbia Don’t miss the special Parent & Leader session We would not be nearly as effective at making an eternal difference without our volunteers. In fact, we simply could not do what we do without volunteers.xxxxxxxx Our volunteers are like family. We not only serve together, but we cry, pray, grieve, laugh and always HUG! We pour into the lives of our clients and pour into the lives of each other as well. Everyone here, regardless of their duties plays a vital role in this ministry. To share with you the value of only one of our volunteers would be like telling you about only one of my children. Our volunteers are the most compassionate, loving, servant-hearted, Jesus lovers I know. They give consistently, work tirelessly and love unselfishly with smiles on their faces... all for the glory of God! I'm inspired, encouraged and motivated by each of them on a daily basis. My life is richer because I know them. We are what I call "forever" family. We are family now and for all eternity! Just after Christmas, Our beautiful sister, Jean, went ahead of us to meet Jesus face to face. I can't help but think of her Daybreak work becoming treasures in heaven! Silver Ring Thing 2015 Thank you to the Lipscomb Family Foundation Pure Excitement 2015! We were honored to help sponsor Silver Ring Thing’s visit to Red Bank Baptist Church for the “No Strings Attached” tour on March 4th! We would like to offer our most sincere thanks to the Lipscomb Family Foundation for their incredible generosity in giving our Youth Program a $10,000 grant! What a blessing! Special Thanks! 272 students total were in attendance, 107 made commitments to abstinence, and 68 accepted/ rededicated to Christ! What a night!
