The majestic Sierra Madre Mountains is on eastern Sonora
State, with elevations up to 7500 feet, are covered with oak and
mesquite mixed with all types of cactus and brush. This is the perfect
habitat for an abundance of the popular Coues Deer, which is found only in southern Arizona and Sonora, México.

The hunt is done on 1X1 basis and can be on vehicle, horseback or walking.
Lunch is at mid-day in the field. Hunting continues until sundown, then back to camp for
cleanup and a nice dinner. The average shooting range is 200 yards; this is an attractive
addition to the desert mule deer hunt.
Price Includes: room and board, transportation from Hermosillo to hunting areas
and back to Hermosillo, one-on-one guide and field care of the trophy.
Price Excludes: Airfare, licenses, gratuities, firearm rental $50 per day, ammunition,
lodging and meals in case you overnight in town before and/or after the hunt, special food,
cost of medications, immunizations, hospitalizations and services of doctors, charges for
evacuation or rescue by ambulance, helicopter or airplane, and any other service or
product that is not agreed or mentioned in this document.
Terms and Conditions: Non-refundable 50% deposit will confirm and secure
reservation. Balance is to be paid 30 days prior to hunt. A passport is required to cross
the U.S./Mexican border. You must also read, understand and accept by signing the Terms and Conditions , Release of Liability
and the Hunting Contract. Upon entry into the U.S. with a trophy, present to authorities your Wildlife Declaration Form 3-177.
Have address of your taxidermist readily available. All clients must comply with the U.S. Department of the Interior/Fish and
Wildlife Services laws, requirements and conditions.
Clothing: Lightweight khaki or camo colored (two complete changes of clothes); down vest or jacket; raincoat/poncho;
light gloves; hat, cotton socks and a pair of comfortable, light, walking shoes.
Equipment: 1 rifle caliber from .270 to .300, ammunition (as shown in your Mexican gun permit), safety glasses,
sunglasses, binoculars, canteen, flashlight, knife, one day backpack ( with and without frames), sleeping bag, camera and film or
memory cards, batteries, one extra duffle bag and a roll of ductape (for capes and antlers).

According to experts there could be as many
as 23 sub-species of the North American white-tailed
Deer. The Safari Club International has categorized 6 different species in Mexico….thus the Mexican Deer Slam. You can take 5
of these different species of Deer with this outfitter. The Carmen Mountain whitetail (Odocoileus virginianus Carminis); the species
found near the southern border with Texas in the state of Nuevo Leon (Odocoileuss virginianus Mexicanus Texanus), the Whitetail
found near the Central Plateau of Mexican Plateau (Odocoileus virginianus Miquihuanensis), the species near Veracruz (Odocoileus
Virginianus veracruisis) Whitetail, and the Mexican Gulf Coast (Odocoileus virginianus Thomasi) Whitetail.
Whitetails in the Sierra del Carmen in northern Coahuila were first described in 1940 as blend different from Texas
whitetails because they were smaller and had antlers with shorter tines. These smaller whitetails also live in many other isolated
mountain ranges near the international boundary. As you travel eastward, you’ll see Carmen Mountains whitetail at higher
elevations, but larger deer resembling the Texas whitetail in the lower surrounding desert scrub. Carmen Mountain whitetail occur
in the Serranias del Burro, Sierra del Carmen, Sierra Encantada, Hechiceros. Sierra Santa Rosa, and Sierra Santa Fe del Pino in
northern Coahuila and Chihuahua.

You will arrive in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon International Airport (MTY). A representative from the outfitter will assist you
with your firearm importation (if needed) and ground transfer to the Central Plateau Whitetail Deer hunting area (1 ½ hours). You
will hunt spot and stalk, ground blinds and high seat vehicles, where local guides know the trophies can be found. After hunting
Central Plateau Whitetail Deer, ground transfer to Monterrey for option of charter flight or ground transportation to Carminis and
Texanus hunting area. A representative will accompany hunter at all times.

You will arrive in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche on the Gulf of
Mexico. A representative from the outfitter will pick you up for the boat
transfer to the Central America Whitetail deer (Thomasi) hunting area (2
hours). This is 5,000 acres at southeast Mexico. You will then transfer
to a domestic flight to Veracruz and ground transfer to Highland hunting area for the Gulf Coast Whitetail (Veracruisis). Ground
transfer to the hunting area is 3-4 hours.
This is a 1x1 hunt. For both species of Whitetails, Central America and Gulf Coast, it is typical jungle and dense brush
country hunt, spot and stalk and also hunting blinds are used with a 75% success rate. For the White lipped Peccary it is a spot and
stalk hunt with 98% success rate.
