Candy Bar Wedding Favor
You will need:
• 1 Sheet PrintWorks Photo Paper Satin
• 1 Candy bar (Hershey’s, Nestle Crunch)
(Standard Size, Not King Size)
• Desktop publishing or Word processing
Software
• Glue or 2-sided tape
Open a new document. The candy bar wrapper has five panels that can be designed.
You can design the front, back and both sides of your candy bar wrapper. By following
these instructions, you can be sure that your images will fit inside each panel. See the
template layout below.
If you are using Microsoft Word or another Microsoft program you can use
textboxes to format your wrapper, or create a table with the exact
measurements of each panel. To customize the size of the textbox, after you
have created the textbox, right click and there appears a menu. Choose the
option that says, "Format textbox". There is a tab for "Size". Fill in the height
and width as stated in these instructions.
Panel # 1 Height: 1.45"
Panel# 2 Height: 0.25"
Panel# 3 Height: 2.12"
Panel# 2 Height: 0.25"
Panel # 5 Height: 1.5" Imaging space is 0.9375"

Insert photos and images from clip art or photos of your own. Add text, clipart, names
and special dates to personalize.
To Create the Panels
Panel # 1:
When wrapped around the candy bar it is the back of the bar. The
panel measures 1.45" high by 5.25"wide. The image that is placed on
this side should be inverted (See flower orientation).
Panel # 2:
This is the small side panel measuring 0.25"high by 5.25" wide. You
can choose to write a message or follow our example were we just
put the bride and grooms names. This image should also be inverted.
Panel # 3:
This is the front side of the candy wrapper. The front measures 2.12"
high by 5.25"wide. We used the actual wedding photo in conjunction
with clip art and textboxes.
Panel # 4:
This is another side where we have the image that was on Panel # 2.
This side does not get inverted. This panel measures 0.25" high by
5.25" wide.
Panel # 5:
This is the backside measuring 1.5" high by 5.25" wide. You may
choose to do as we did and insert a clip art image. Note bottom inch
is the glue area so don’t create a design in this area.
Printing Your Craft
1: Print a test print on a plain piece of paper and cut it out to check the fit around the
candy bar.
2: Once you are satisfied with the overall wrap you can print it to the Photo
Paper Satin according to the appropriate printer settings. Check printer settings on page 4.
3: Trim your wrapper and wrap up your candy bar. Seal it with double sided sticky
tape*. Enjoy!
*You can also use our 00535 Holographic Multi purpose labels or you can purchase
our 00536 Mailing seals in Office Depot.
Personalized Candy bars can be used for any occasion, the announcement of a new
baby, as birthday favors, as a thank you, etc. Or, as we have done - use them as
Wedding favors.
