Be Healthy!
At Bright Horizons, the health of the children, families, and staff in our care is our top priority. It’s that
time of year where we are beginning to see a large number of mild illnesses throughout our school.
Please help us reduce the transmission of illness by keeping your child excluded from the program if
they have any of the following symptoms; Fever (100 degrees under the armpit), Diarrhea, Vomiting
(more than 2 times in 24 hours), Rash with fever. HEALTHY TIP: Please wash hands upon entering the
classroom, and please be sure to take home any blankets or other comfort items on Fridays to be
washed weekly. This greatly helps prevent the spread of germs and keeps our classrooms safe and clean!
Mark your calendars for our Preschool and Kindergarten Prep Preview Event on
February 17th, from 5:30 PM-7 PM. Preview will give you the opportunity to explore the
road ahead in your child’s education and to learn more about your child’s next
classroom. There will also be extended opportunities to see how our curriculum, The
World at Their Fingertips, progresses with your child’s growth and development in the
Preschool years. Early Preschool, Preschool, and Kindergarten Prep will all participate in
this event, which will also focus on the Wheels Project and STEM education (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math). There will be take home information as well as the
opportunity to spend some special time in the classroom with your child beyond the day
to day routines. We look forward to you joining us for this exciting event!

Our World in Early Preschool
Early Preschoolers are naturally curious about the world around them, constantly
exploring and responding to their environment. A large part of their environment is
interacting with others and learning how to respond to the people around them.
Throughout the week our Early Preschoolers learn a lot about compassion and
empathy through daily interactions with Mrs. Kate and Mrs. Susan as well as their peers.
They practice using gentle touches, taking turns, and responding to others’ emotions.
This includes giving hugs when one is in need! 
