Repeal and Replace 40 Day Fast of Negative Thoughts and Words

40 Days Fasting Negative Thoughts and Words
Thinking God’s Thoughts and Speaking God’s Word
REPEAL AND REPLACE
Days 33-40
Day 33
Psalms 73:26(A) - REPEAL
My flesh and my heart may fail;
Psalms 73:26(B) - REPLACE
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
One thing in this life is certain, “in my flesh dwells no good thing” (Romans 7:18). My flesh will always fail.
There is an engineering term called “built in obsolescence.” It means it was created to fail/be replaced at some
point. The automobile industry has two distinct branches: new cars and spare parts. The spare parts business is
bigger than the new car business. A new car is designed for parts to last a certain timespan, fail, be replaced, and
keep running, until you buy a new car. I had a mini-van (won’t reveal the maker) that I am certain was almost
systematically replaced part by part from bumper to bumper! Until we surrender to our loving Heavenly Father,
we will continue to break down, spirit, soul and body. The human condition was built in obsolescence! It will
most assuredly fail and it must be replaced! Our answer: The Jesus Christ exchanged life. We exchange our sinsick soul for a new creation reality! Praise God, He is NOW the strength of my heart and my portion FOREVER.
Day 34
Psalms 34:18 - REPEAL
The LORD is near to them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 147:3 - REPLACE
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We are on day 34. The 40-day end of this set-apart time is coming into view. However, now, more than ever, we
must revisit why the same negative triggers are tripping. We must deal with our broken heart. The binding up
process is not a one-man job. Most of the time, we can administer our own first aid. In minor situations, we can
stop the bleeding, clean the wound and secure a band aid. However, there are circumstances when we need to
allow someone else to “bind up our wounds.” Jesus fulfilled the prophetic declaration of Isaiah 61, “sent to bind
up the broken hearted.” We can handle a bobo on our finger, but our broken heart needs a specialist. Give Jesus
permission to bind up your broken heart, once and for all today.

Day 35
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 - REPEAL
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken;
struck down, but not destroyed;
Psalm 32: 7 - REPLACE
You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
We have learned together that situations will try to dislodge your peace. Remember, Jesus warned us that in this
fallen world, we would have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. He is the
high tower that we run into and are saved! (Proverbs 18:10). One of my favorite scriptures, Psalm 32:7, has been
made into song. Jesus is our hiding place. Wherever you are, He is there. Let Him surround you with songs of
deliverance, today. Enjoy this online YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElVC6rfX3Z8, or

Day 36
1 Corinthians 10:13(A) - REPEAL
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.
1 Corinthians 10:13(B) - REPLACE
God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also
provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
We think of temptation having to do with moral situations of lying, cheating, stealing, sexual immorality, or
worldly lusts. However, the last 35 days has proved that the temptation to give in to negative thoughts, words and
actions, is much stronger than the actions previously mentioned. In fact, every one of those actions must first
begin as a thought. James 1:13-14, says,” Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by God;” for
God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is
carried away and enticed by his own lust.” God is never our problem, but always our answer. Jesus, our
example, has won the day! He humbled himself within His human condition and obtained the victory. Now, we
are in Him and as we choose righteousness (God’s way of being and doing) we share the victory in Jesus,
Hallelujah!
Day 37
Deuteronomy 4:30 - REPEAL
When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return to the LORD
your God and listen to His voice.
Revelation 21:4 - REPLACE
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor
crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
17
Proverbs 22:6, states, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
When we acknowledge the adoption by our Heavenly Father, ratified by the blood of Jesus, our identity has
legally changed. We are then on a journey of discovery, “what is my true birthright?” We may continue in the
latent pattern of an old existence, but it is not who we truly are. When we return to Him, we begin to hear His
voice, and we change our pathways. Then, we no longer stray away, or depart from our identity and purpose.
What is that purpose? Restore all things back to Him as it was in the beginning. Jesus said, “Behold, I am
making all things new” (Revelation 21:5). “As he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). We pick up where
Jesus left. “It is finished” should be the last exclamation with the last breath of every believer. Jesus made the
way for you to return and finish His work. No tears, no death, no mourning, emotionally transformed, “for the
former things have passed away.”
Day 38
Hebrews 4:15 - REPEAL
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect
has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:16 - REPLACE
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in
time of need.
It has been said, if Jesus came from heaven as God, not taking on mortality, but moving among us mere mortals
performing the miraculous works of Heaven, we would be greatly impressed, but unable to duplicate. However,
since he stripped himself of His heavenly state, becoming obedient as a human son, we are not only impressed,
but He has given us a pattern to emulate. He was tempted and overcame, therefore, “I overcome by the blood of
the Lamb” and the Words of His testimony and the testimony of all that have gone before me and accepted the
redemption, adoption, and commission of that blood and testimony. In our weakness, He is made strong (2
Corinthians 12:10). Daily, we draw near to God, because through Jesus, He has come near to us. Run to Him.
What you need is found in Him and His heart welcomes you. Today is your throne room experience day!
Day 39
Psalm 94:18-19 - REPEAL
When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
Psalm 56: 13 - REPLACE
For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, that I may walk before God
in the light of the living?
David, the author of both songs of praise, Psalm 56 and Psalm 94, understood the magnificent God of triumph in
impossible situations. Tomorrow is the last day of our fast. It was important to show you that David, the man
after God’s own heart, had to actively turn his heart and mind to the God that had always been more than enough.
Look at the opening phrase of Psalm 94:18, “When I thought, ‘my foot slips.’” David, time and again, actively
pursued and lived in the manifested presence of the Lord. Yet, circumstances and situations caused his mind to
wonder, “will I fall this time?” He then remembered, the love of God that had never left Him, to fulfill his in
earth as it is in heaven destiny. Your fleeting thoughts of destruction are just that, fleeting! Joshua 23:10, says
18
“One shall chase away a thousand and two shall put ten thousand to flight.” You, as ONE child of God, can chase
away a thousand negative thoughts that could become a thousand negative actions, or a thousand positive actions
never taken! When I join with you, our power becomes exponential! You are a magnificent masterpiece!
Together, we are the breathtaking mural of “IT IS FINISHED.”
Day 40
Isaiah 61:3(A) - REPEAL
To grant to those who mourn in Zion—
Isaiah 61:3(B) - REPLACE
…to give them a beautiful head dress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of
praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he
may be glorified.
Day 40 – Hooray! Although life is never a destination, it does give us moments that form our destiny. You have
come through this journey triumphant! You now understand the mind of Christ must be engaged. Possession is
acknowledged, but engagement is everything! We can finally, without hesitation say we are exchanging our
mourning for joy, ashes for beauty, depression for garments of joyous praise. We have a job to do. God needs
sons and daughters who know who they are in Him, to be “steadfast, immovable ever abounding in the work of
the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58), in other words, “oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be
glorified.”
You have a new beginning, a new way of being and doing. You ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN
CHRIST JESUS. OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY, BEHOLD, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.
Congratulations! Nothing is impossible for you. As you think in your heart, you are! Now, go turn the world
upside down for Jesus!
I am attaching a Declaration that you can use with your daily devotions. This declaration will assist you in
focusing your mind on the Word of God and planting seeds of righteousness in you.
19
Order your day with the Word of God.
Come into alignment with heaven agree
with what God says about you and
declare the Word over your day!
Daily Declaration
Today is a good day for me because I am in Christ Jesus. Jesus is Lord over my body, soul, spirit,
emotions and feelings. The blood of Jesus Christ covers me and my family. I am filled with the spirit of
God today and His life flows through me. I am healed by the stripes that Jesus bore and my body
functions perfectly, healthy and free from any infirmity. I have the mind of Christ because the Word of
Christ dwells in me richly. I have quick understanding and wisdom dwells in my heart. The Spirit of
God has made me ten times wiser than the children of the world.
I am a diligent, disciplined disciple of the Lord. God teaches me how to profit in all things. Everything
I put my hand to is successful because of the anointing of God on my life. I do all my work well without
complaining. God has given me the tongue of a disciple so that I can speak a word to the weary in
season. He wakens me morning by morning and I am not rebellious to turn away from what He speaks
to me.
All my needs are met today because I am in Christ Jesus. He provides abundantly for me. Because I
have given, it is given to me full measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. Because I
am a tither, the windows of heaven are open to me and God pours out His blessings upon me.
I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the
world. I walk by faith and not by sight. I talk by faith. The words of my mouth and the meditations of
my heart are pleasing to God. I have committed my way to God and He causes my thoughts to come in
line with His will. God is filling me with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and
understanding so that I walk in a manner that is worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him.
Because I have God’s love in me, I am not rude, unmannerly, envious or unkind. God’s love in me is
always patient, always thinks the best of other people, honors others and is respectful to all people.
The fruit of the spirit are daily manifesting in my life. I am being conformed to the image of Jesus
Christ.
I will fulfill all the will of God. I will never turn away from God or backslide. I will protect the anointing
of God on my life and seek His will at all times. I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and another
voice I will not listen to. I am surrounded with God’s favor as with a shield. I am a person of prayer. I
am a bold witness for Christ and do not compromise the Word of God. I am yoked together with Christ
today.
I am going forth conquering and
to conquer in Jesus Name! (Rev. 6:2)
