cut it into two pieces so that one piece is 14
inches longer than the other. How long is
each piece?
(Q3.) Trisha has a 28.5-inch piece of wire to
make a necklace and a bracelet. She has to
cute the wire so that the piece for the
necklace will be twice as long as the piece
for the bracelet. Find the length of each piece.
(Q2.) A 40-inch board is to be cut into two
pieces so that one piece is 8 inches shorter
than the other. Find the length of each piece.
(Q4.) On a sunny day, Jimmy and Kelly went
to fishing. Kelly caught 17 more fish than
Jimmy and together they caught a total of 43
fish. How many fish did each person catch?
