American Studies Mr. Gawlitta Unit Three: A Growing Nation Now What? The United States is independent and looking to make an international name for herself. First, it must get its footing, which will involve some decisions, dissent, and difficulty. From the presidencies of George Washington through Andrew Jackson, we will examine how our nation attempts to establish a name for herself via political and economic foundations, as well as how social classes become an ever growing dynamic in the early landscape of America.
