Well, it used to be that garden roses were extremely delicate (had a 2-3 day vase
life) and were extremely expensive ( 2.50 - 3.50 per stem at farm gate). Under
those conditions it only made sense to use them exclusively for for special
events.

However, Alexandra Farms has brought back the romance to every day work!
Go ahead, use our not-so-expensive and not-so-delciate varieties for every day
work!
All of our varieties have 7 days of vase life, after a 5 day shipping simulation.
Many have 10-12 day vase lives!

New Varieties for 2013
Rose innovation
We are constantly testing new varieites at Block 11 in our farm in Tocancipa. So far we
have tested over 500 rose varieties!
This year we have approved 10 for commercial production next year. A few of these
will be available in solid boxes starting in May.
Precious Moments
is along lasting light purple variety with excellent lasting qualities.
Cinnamon Spice is a brown or terracota rosw with a bright yellow center and terrific
dark green, shiny folliage.

Perfumella is a large, peach deep cupped rose with a strong myrh fragrance.
Lemon Piano is the newest mmember of the Piano family and is a light green version

Code 4575 is a faboulous white rose with hundreds of petals forming a symmetircal
but somewhat disorderly center.
Gospel is fragrant and dark purple and faboulous! Large heads with
delicate stems, hundreds of petals and what a shape!

Wild Raspberry
We were fortunate to have Carolina from Proexpo pose for us with a
lovelty Wild Raspberry Hydrangea bouquet. These exquisite
hydrangeas are available now in medium grade (15-20 cm heads,
packed 25 in a box). There are no other hydrangeas with this unique
coloring available anywhere!
