Copperhead Road is an exciting indoor/outdoor function space occupying the entire second floor of the Elgin
Inn Hotel in Hawthorn.
Copperhead Road raises the bar with views of the city and quality prohibition style cocktail list. You’ll be
transported back to the roaring 20’s when you step inside. From the authentically attired bar staff, to the
opening bookcases, the original 20’s car, exposed brick walls, and cosy dim lighting, Copperhead Road
emulates the era with great success.
The rooftop area is half undercover and boasts breathtaking city views, fairy lights, vintage finishes and a
comfortable all weather rooftop bar.
Sip and sup under the stars, or head inside for a cosy and classically styled indoor area with yet another
exclusive bar, Chesterfield seating, TV screen and a small courtyard for smokers. Copperhead Road is like
nowhere else in town, with a speakeasy concept and décor that gives the place an amazing atmosphere.

‘COTTON CLUB’

The relaxed atmosphere provided in The Cotton Club is ideal for any function. The large rolling
bookcases can be closed to create intimacy or opened to create a larger space with a clever range
of seated and standing areas. It is opulent yet understated and also boasts access onto the
Copperhead Road rooftop deck.

Satay chicken skewers served on a bed of Jasmine rice
Fried salt and pepper calamari served with mixed lettuce, cucumber, Spanish onion and citrus dressing
with lime aioli.
Wok seared beef strips tossed through a rocket, watercress, bean shoots, cucumber, mint, coriander &
radish salad in a sweet chilli, ginger & soy dressing, topped with crispy shallots.

250g porterhouse cooked medium, served with rosemary and garlic chats, mixed vegetables and a red
wine sauce.
Pan fried Atlantic salmon fillet served on a bed of mash potato with rocket salad and basil pesto.

Equipment hire is available for a $50 fee. This includes an overhead projector screen, flipchart and
paper, a whiteboard and markers as well as extension cords and power boards.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Bookings and deposits:
In order to secure your requested date and the most suitable area to accommodate your needs, a
Booking deposit fee is required.
Cancellations or postponement:
In the event of a cancellation or postponement by the event organiser(s), the Elgin Inn requires formal
notification. All notifications must be emailed to the venue via [email protected]
Cancellations or postponements with less than three weeks notice will incur a loss of deposit.
Payments:
The Elgin Inn requires that full and final payment must be settled at the conclusion of the event.
Confirmation:
Confirmation of final numbers and menu selection is required no less than 10 days prior to the function date.
Price variation:
The Elgin Inn makes every effort to maintain prices, however, prices quoted for functions that are greater
than 3 months in advance are subject to change at management’s discretion to allow for variations in cost of
goods, wages and equipment hire.
Evening functions are to conclude by 1am. It is strongly recommended that you consult with venue
management prior to sending out invitations regarding start and finish times.
Liquor License:
In accordance with liquor licensing all functions are to conclude by 1am, with the exception of Sundays
(11pm). The Elgin Inn is a strong advocate of responsible service of alcohol and reserves the right to refuse
supply of alcohol to intoxicated patrons. Under section 114 of the liquor licensing act, the Elgin Inn reserves
the right to instruct patrons who are behaving in a quarrelsome manner to leave the premises at any time.
BYO Policy:
No food or beverages of any kind is permitted to be brought into the venue by the client, or a guest of the
client for consumption by the client or any guest of the client without prior approval by the Elgin Inn.
Entertainment:
External DJ’s are permitted, however it is a requirement that a sound check is completed prior to the
commencement of any function. All entertainment must be fully set up and sound checked before 5pm.
Evening events will require all entertainment to conclude by 12:30am.
Responsibility and Liability:
The Elgin Inn does not accept any responsibility for the damage to, or loss of any clients’ property
throughout the duration of the function. The organisers of the function will be financially responsible for any
damages to the venues fixtures and fittings, property and equipment, which includes pilferage of the venues
property that may occur throughout the duration of the function.
Car parking:
There is ample parking behind the IGA supermarket on the corner of Burwood Road and Power Street.
