Day 4 - Electronic Filing for Earth Station

ELECTRONIC FILING for
EARTH STATION (Art 9 & 11)
Info
Two steps to be followed
Coordination
•
Submission of Appendix 4 data to affected
ADM’s
Notification
•
Submission of Appendix 4 data to BR
3
Why you need this exercise?
•No. 9.29:
Requests for coordination under 9.15 to
9.19 shall be sent by the requesting
administration to the identified
administrations, together with the
appropriate information listed in Appendix 4
to the Radio Regulations
Which BR program is for this capturing?
•AP7 Capture_v7
Exercise only to draw Coordination diagrams
- It is not complete data for Coordination Request
-
•Space Capture V7 (SpaceCap)
- SpaceCap creates complete set of database
- When coordination is completed, the same file can be converted
to a notification notice to be submitted to the Bureau

• Trinidad ES (TRD, 61W.30’50”, 10N.40’13”)
• Assoc Satellite : INTELSAT8 304.5E (55.5W)
• Beams: HL (Uplink & Downlink)
• Frequency & Antenna Gain:
• Up-6635-6665MHz, 45 dBi, 17.5dB,-52.5 dB/Hz
• Down-3645 -3675MHz, 40 dBi,NoiseT: 100 ⁰ K
• Horizon elevation angle (A7a) = 0 degree for all azimuths (ex: azimuth
0/90/180/270)
• Antenna radiation pattern (B5c) = REC-580-6
• Class of Station : TC (Fixed Satellite Service)
Check Associated Satellite:
INTELSAT8 304.5E
Check Service area as follows in GIMS
Up link beam: HL
Down link beam: HL
Common Receivability Issues
• Associated space station must already be notified
• Provide the correct name used in BR databases
• Frequencies of S/S should match
INTELSAT8 304.5E
…
3645.00000 .. 6665.00000
…
• Beam names of E/S should match those of the S/S
in the opposite direction
