*Please note that activities do begin at the given start time. If there are
“no shows” after 15 minutes have gone by, the activity is cancelled. Please
make every effort to be there at the beginning, so we can hand out the
materials and/or make up teams, whatever the case may be! Also, any
child 12 yrs. old and under must have an adult accompany them! There is a
small fee for arts & crafts, as well as food items. Small bills or change
would be greatly appreciated! Look forward to seeing you there!

Please note, I keep a notebook available for folks that would be interested in
grouping up to play any of the team games that we have available here at the
resort. So if you are looking for some one to play against for, ping pong,
racquetball or a game of pool, even checkers or chess, you would write down
your name and room # as well as your phone # if you would like, this way you
can contact people to get together for a fun game or two! Be sure to check out
our board games available to you from the front desk located at “West”, as well
as our new game tables featuring checkers & chess.
* The system “Kinect” is up and running on the second floor of the West
amenities building, check it out, loads of fun for your whole group!
*Snow Shoes now available to rent from the Front Desk area! Think snow!

1:00: Farm visit, Meet at the Red barn at Steele Hill Farm, Come see our
famous Belted Galloway “ Oreo “ cows! Join Nick to learn information on
these interesting animals. You can watch them get fed their favorite treat
and give them a pat on the head if you’d like! The barn itself is over 200
years old, your only chance to see the farm up close!
2:00: Caramel apples: meet in the Activity room at the Main Inn
time for a treat! I’ll dip them, you sprinkle them with a topping of your
choice. I have caramel as well as chocolate! Cost $2.50 per apple
2:30: Memory Game: Activity room at the Main Inn
Something for the whole family! We’ll take up the floor space in the
activity room and play a “large” version of this classic game.
4:00: Christmas Caroling: meet in the Activity room at the Main Inn
We’ll gather up there, and then stroll around the Resort grounds caroling!
We need you, the more the merrier! Please plan to come!
6:30: Ice skating party and a campfire: pond along side of check-in
building
Come spend a winter evening outside skating and enjoying a warm fire!
You do need to bring your own ice skates! I have some brooms and a
goal for broom hockey! With a small charge, hot chocolate and cookies
will be available.
10:00: jewelry making: Activity room at the Main Inn
We have supplies for all ages to make many different items such as
earrings, bracelets, necklaces & key chains. You can make
something to take home with you from your trip! Small fee per items
11:30: Foam craft: Activity room at the Main Inn
I have different craft ideas using this fun material, Cost .50 per item
1:30: Ice Cream Social: Activity room, located in the Main Inn
We have vanilla & chocolate ice cream along with several toppings &
whipped cream, and yes, a cherry on top!
Cost $3.00 per sundae, $1.50 for “kiddie” size!
3:00: Mini cork boards: Activity room at the Main Inn
Make a mini cork board for all your reminder notes!, Cost $1.50
4:00: indoor games for the young ones: Activity room at the Main Inn
Let’s play some games like “duck, duck, goose” and some other fun ones!
A great way to meet some of the other kids here this week!
10:00: Hike: meet at the check-in building lobby
We have three trails to choose from, so come join me if you feel like
getting outside and getting some exercise! Dress Warm please!
12:30: Cribbage: Activity room at the Main Inn
We’ll get some teams together and play!
1:30: Fuse beads: Activity room at the Main Inn
These are always fun, can use as ornaments too! 50 cents a piece
2:30: Note cards: Activity room at the Main Inn
We have some scrapbook paper & stamping material, fun to play around
with! Cost $1.50 a card
4:00: Christmas Story time: “West” lobby, by the fireplace!
I’ll read some stories while we gather around our warm fire.
10:00:Magazine scavenger hunt: Activity room at the Main Inn
I’ll make up teams and we’ll have fun searching for pictures of everything
in magazines!
11:00: Tissue paper flowers: Activity room at the Main Inn
ever wonder how to make these, I’ll show you! Cost .50 a flower
12:30: any knitters in the house? Activity room at the Main Inn
I have some ideas & Christmas colored yarn to knit ornaments! If you
don’t know how to knit, I’ll teach you! Your ideas welcomed too!
1:30: Candy Bar Bingo: Activity room at the Main Inn
Let’s play Bingo, bring a large candy bar, which buys you one board,
once everyone has at least one, then at that point more boards can be
handed out. We play in a way that everyone leaves with a candy bar!
3:00: Ping Pong: Second floor at “West” building
“Anyone for a game of Ping Pong?” Come on and play!
10:00: A walking tour of our two 19thcentury cemeteries: meet in front of
the “check-in” building, Dress WARM!
We’ll take a walk and explore our two cemeteries on the Steele Hill
property, both go back to the 18 hundreds and are very interesting.
11:30: Paper snow flakes: Activity room at the Main Inn
I can show you how to make some pretty 3D snow flakes out of paper

I have some pretty ornaments that we can make! Cost $1.00 - $2.00
2:00: Board Games: Activity room at the Main Inn
There are many choices of games, let’s see if we can get some people
together to play!

7:00 – 9:30: New Year’s Eve party for the whole family!
Come to the West Amenities building, located in the lobby
we’ll have a fun party for the children to enjoy along with their
family. There will be crafts, snacks, a game to play, we’ll make
our New Year’s resolutions and light candles placing them
around the pool, once we enjoy the display, we’ll then
celebrate in the lobby with balloons dropping down on
everyone! We finish up at 9:30, in time for the little ones to go
to bed, and adults are welcomed to go down to our Hilltop
Restaurant for an evening celebration for adults. The staff there
has loads of fun planned, be sure to join in!
