8.1) Classifying Polygons

8.1) Classifying Polygons
Objective: Describe Polygons
As a reminder, what are some qualities of a polygon you remember?
Today we will define the difference between concave and convex polygons. We will also classify polygons as equiangular, equilateral, or regular
Convex or Concave?
Check by drawing lines over sides
Equiangular polygons will have interior angles that are all the s ame measure.
Concave cannot be equiangular.
Equilateral polygons have all their sides congruent to each other.
If a polygon is both equilateral and equiangular, then it is called regular
angle measures?
Since all equiangular polygons must be convex, then all regular polygons are convex
Is this figure regular?
Is this parallelogram equilateral?
What is the perimeter of this equilateral polygon?

What is the value of x in this regular polygon?
