To be able to ‘throw it on’ you also need to know where to find what you need
and able to see what you actually have.
Often, we forget about the things we have when they’re hidden away (imagine that!). So, a
well-organized closet ensures you can quickly and easily find all the elements of the outfit
you throw on, looks fabulous and gets you out the door!
A few simple first steps:
1. Start by sorting by category (just like how you cleansed!).
2. Now sort by length and then by color.
3. Keep what you wear most often easiest to access.
Closet vs. Dresser
You will want to fold any knits and heavy sweaters. Lighter sweaters you can often get away
with hanging, but otherwise knit tops, knit dresses and sweaters should be folded. Find a
spot for these in your dresser or add more space in your closet with a hanging organizer.
Bonus tip: protect your sweaters by putting some cedar blocks to the back of each ‘shelf’.
