Northern Elementary School

Northern Elementary School
The Great Northern has been very busy the last few weeks. With all the snow we have
had a lot of activity going on here.
The Great Polar Adventure
The Polar Adventure was a huge success. Students learned about the polar region and
the animals that live there. During the week, we had special days, such as dress like a
penguin or polar bear and wear an artic word on your clothes. The Polar Adventure
which was held on Thursday in the gymnasium was a huge success and enjoyed by all
staff and students. The Polar Adventure had the students rotate through seven stations.
Snowball toss, arctic iceberg bowling, polar bear pull, penguin waddle, iceberg
information center, polar bear crawl, and penguin egg roll. The students and staff had a
great time.
District Spelling Bee
The District Spelling Bee took place on Tuesday, February 2nd, and representing
