Thank you to everyone who supported the Student Leader led fundraiser last
week. A total of $570.10 was raised to be forwarded to the Make a Wish
Foundation. Sarah Jarman, together with Nigel’s parents, Donald and Julie Jarman,
asked particularly that the appreciation of their family be passed onto our school
community. They have felt very much uplifted by your support and generosity.

Important - Working with Children Check
Are you currently employed in or volunteer at a Tasmanian
Government School? If so you need to register for your
Working with Vulnerable People Card.
Please go to http://www.justice.tas.gov.au/
working_with_children/application to submit an application.
You then need to finalise your application by going to Service
Tasmania.
If you hold a current Good Character check with the DOE, your
fee for this card will be waived.
All non-teaching employees and volunteers need to be registered
by 1st September 2016. There is a delay of several weeks between
finalising your application at Service Tasmania and receiving your
card, therefore you are strongly encouraged to do this process by
1st July 2016.
If you have any queries relating to the check, please contact our
school office staff who can answer your questions.
Lost Property
We have a large amount of lost property

unnamed and therefore cannot be
returned to students. Please remember to
label all school items and to re-label if you

will be placing all lost property on a table outside before

then be given to the second hand uniform pool.
