l\iIADE BY THE PRESIDENT lJNDER SECTION 29(3) OF TR!!JREPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT
VARIATION OF SPECIFIED DATE (ANNUAL PARLIAMENTARY,
COUNTY COUNCIL AND MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ELEOTORAL
DISTRICT LISTS) ORDER, 1986
WHEREAS subsection (1) of section 29
(hereii1af~'8r referred to as "the Act")
of the Representation of the People Act
provides interalin that the Commission
shall in respect of each Parliamentary,CountyCounciLor Municipal Council
electoral di~tric~, publish on the 1st July of every year a list of all persons
qualified to be electors in that electoral district:
And whereas subsection (2) of the said section 29 ofthe Act provides that
the al1nuallis'fj shall continue in force until the 30th June of the following year
and:onthe commencement o£an electoral ,registraticinshalL be deemed to be
the preliminary list of electors for that electoral district:
And whereas subsection (3) of the said section 29 of the Act provides that
the President may by Order in any year, vary the date specified in subsections
(1) and (2) of the said section wherever it appears to him that circumstances
have arisen that warrant such variation:
And whereascil'cumstances, have arisen that warrant such variation:
Now, 'Gherefore, I, ELLIS EMl\1ANUEL INNOCENT CLARKE,President
as aforesaid do hereby order(a) that bhedate of publication of the annual list for each Parlia·
mentary,' Oounty Council and Municipal Council electoral district
in Trinidad and Tobago be varied from the 1st July, 1986 to the
15th Aug'lIst, 1986; and
(b) tha'Gthe annual list published on theIst December, 1985 continue
in force until the 14th August, 1986 instead of the 30th day of
Jillle, 1986.
