EVENT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a flexible and self-motivated candidate to be our Event Coordinator this season. This position
will allow you to work both from our office and at home throughout the Summer Months. (May – September)
Our event coordinator will be responsible for taking calls regarding our party staffing & swim lessons and
scheduling onto our various platforms. (When I Work and Google Calendars) The coordinator will have a
company issued cell phone but will need to provide their own computer. Overall we are a very young and easy
going company but are in need of someone who has a great attention to detail for scheduling times and dates
as well as an ability to communicate directly to our owners and customers. Some weeks are very busy and some
are slow but overall your work schedule will be more of a ‘freelance’ style than a 9-5. This position will average
about 30-35 hours per week. There will also be other ‘in the field’ opportunities to make money if you are
looking for more hours per week.
SALARY AND TERM:
 MAY – SEPTEMBER $1000/month salary
JOB DUTIES:



Answer and make phone calls
Schedule parties & swim lessons on ‘When I Work’ and ‘Google Calendars’
Report to owners throughout the week with schedule statuses and in field workers
REQUIREMENTS:



Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate via phone and e-mail
Work effectively with limited supervision on a daily basis
Must be available to fulfill job obligations on weekends and Holidays
CHARACTERISTICS:
Communicate appropriate information to managers, coworkers, and customers. Depending on your level of
competence this job can be done almost entirely from home or on the road however we will require you to
come to our office occasionally (located in Round Rock) to maintain communication with the owners. As long as
the work is being done promptly and accurately you will be in control of your office setting.
The nature of our business is customer service and staying ahead of the workload. You will be the voice of our
company and often times the first person within our company that speaks directly to our customers. Because of
this we expect a polite and friendly personality as well as someone who is confident and capable enough to
explain company policies and procedures to our customers.
This job will give you the flexibility to make money and enjoy your summer. On a given day we may have as
many as 50 employees working in the field. Our managers, lifeguards, pool monitors, instructors, and
maintenance crews all work in synchronization with each other which is why it is very important that everyone
has the information they need ahead of time. We will give you all the tools you need and continue to train
throughout the summer but are open to new and better ways to service our customers. We hope you will bring
