Club Judging Contest Guidelines to Qualify as a County Contest Submi ed by Kris e Erickson, Ellen Schlosser, Kathy Sperry and Becca Tullar This year in addi on to the three County Consumer Decision Making and Hor culture Judging Contests, clubs are invited and encouraged to hold a Consumer Decision Making and/or Hor cul‐
ture judging contest as part of their mee ngs. This is an excellent opportunity for a program at a club mee ng. Club contests should be completed and the completed judging cards delivered to the Brown County 4‐H office by July 1. A club contest can count as one of the two scores needed by a member to be considered for inclusion on a county team for the State Fair judging contests. This process will be fun, educa onal, and purposeful, while maintaining integrity and fairness to all par cipants. Please follow these guidelines: 
Placings should be determined by the individual member, not by a group process 
One adult needs to be chosen as a club monitor to assist members with ques ons 
Final placings need to be determined by the individual member 
Members are encouraged to write down their placings on a separate piece of paper in addi‐
on to their judging card 
Cards need to be collected by the club monitor once the member has completed judging the class 
Cards need to be complete with 1)name of the class 2) name of par cipant 3) division (B=Beginner, J=Junior, S=Senior) and 4) placing 
All the completed judging cards for the same class will be put into one envelope. Each class envelope will be sealed and delivered to the 4‐H office for scoring. Following the sealing of the envelopes, official placings may be given and discussed as part of the educa onal process. If members have wri en their placings on a separate paper then they can compare their placings to the official placings. 4‐H ROCKET DAY 
