MARONITE CHRISTIAN FORMATION: Classes 1-6 are on Sunday
morning at 9am. Classes 7-12 are on the third Sunday of the month at 6pm,
followed by MYO. The calendar is published in the bulletin and on the Website.
Confessions: Saturday 3 - 3:40pm and by appointment.

Pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi

Memorials
Shrine of the North American Martyrs. The Annual Pilgrimage to the
Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville will be on Sunday, 25
August. Both the parishes of Saint Louis Gonzaga of Utica and Saint Ann of
Watervliet will participate. The Maronite Divine Liturgy will be celebrated
at 4pm. There will also be a picnic on the grounds beginning at 1pm, please
be sure to bring your picnic lunch. Grilling is not permitted on the shrine
grounds. Rocco Hobaica is the coordinator for the pilgrimage and picnic.
This is an important opportunity to take time away from our busy
schedules and travel to the holy grounds of the shrine in Auriesville for prayer and
celebration of the Divine Liturgy. The shrine commemorates the birthplace of
the recently canonized Saint Kateri Tekakwitha and the martyrdom of Saints
Rene Goupil, Isaac Jogues, and John deLalande, three of the North American
Martyrs.

Maronite Christian Formation Program.
•Registration for grades 1-12 will be on 25 August and 1 September at
11am following the Divine Liturgy in the Church Hall. Registration
forms can be found on the website.
•Classes for Grades 1-6—Sundays 9am-9:45am. Begin on 8 September
•Classes for Grades 7-12—Third Sunday of the Month 6pm-7:30pm.
Begin on 22 September
On Sunday, 22 September we shall celebrate Catechetical Sunday and
commission the new catechists.
The calendar for the entire program and the MCF Registration form are
posted on the church’s website, as well as, on our Facebook page.
Saint Mary’s Guild Retreat. The Saint Mary’s Guild will be hosting a retreat
for all women in our parish on Saturday, 21 September at the Good News
Center. More details to follow.
Historic Old St. John’s Church. Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica
will be holding its Annual Sr. Mary Theresa Charity Bazaar on Saturday, 7
September from 12pm-7pm and Sunday, 8 September from 9am-5pm. Please
support them. All proceeds support Outreach Ministries.
