Show Circular - Trade Promotion Council of India

IRAN AGRO FOOD 2017
24th International Agricultural Trade Fair
23rd – 26th May 2017, Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds
23rd January 2017
Dear Members,
TPCI with support of Department of Commerce (DoC), Government of India is
organizing TPCI India Pavilion in Iran Agro 2017 under the MAI scheme of DoC during May
23 – 26, 2017 at Tehran, Iran. An audience of 40000 plus professionals with real buying power
is expected to attend the event. Over 1500 exhibiters from 40 countries will participate in the
show. This will give Indian businesses an opportunity to explore local Iranian market and make
strong B2B connections.
In the year 2015, Iran’s import in food sector from the world touched USD 7.2 Bn, from
India it was around USD 1.08 Bn, which is about 14 % of its total import from the world in food
sector and is quite significant, but keeping India’s huge potential in mind these figures are
meager and if efforts are made in requisite direction this could be enhanced and fostered by
at least 35%. Also Iran’s import of Agro and food processing machinery from India was merely
1% of its total import from the world (refer Annexure B), here also India stands a good chance
of fostering its position. Henceforth this show is an ideal opportunity for Indian food industry
exporters to explore the Iranian market (please refer Annexure A for exhibiter’s profile)
TPCI invites application from interested members on highly subsidized rates on first
come first serve basis. The rate for a built up booth of upto 6 sqm is Rs. 30,000 per sqm.
Additional built up space is also available at Rs. 40,000 per sqm. For corner booths additional
surcharge of Rs. 10,000 per corner is applicable.

sending the duly filled registration form along with non refundable advance payment of Rs.
50,000 through Cheque/ Demand Draft in favor of “Trade Promotion Council of India” payable
