SCHOOLS CELEBRATE READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK
In recognition of Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read
Across America Week, students had a wacky week of themed dress-up days and activities
to celebrate books and the joy of reading. At Valley Elementary and Valley Intermediate,
students and teachers were seen in wild wigs, crazy socks and pajamas throughout the
week. At Riverchase Middle, students studied the deeper meaning of several Seuss books
in Reader's Theatre renditions of "The Sneetches", "What Was I Scared Of?", "My Many
Colored Days", and others.
