Our friends down the street at the Kenton County Library will be joining us for weekly art enrichment
and storytime! Our storytellers will take us on a reading journey to other worlds before Baker Hunt
youth instructor Judy Sanders leads us in making art tied to a new book each week. Gather ‘round for
this interactive and ever popular storytime that will open our eyes and ears to new art!

you write! Hand sew a family of mice using a needle and thread, decorate a shoebox house and create

Experience the uniquely expressive qualities of clay by creating pottery and sculptures using pinching,
coiling, and slab making techniques to create beautifully glazed and fired ceramic ware. All supplies

They will discover art in museums as a visual record of history that reflects people’s dreams and social
interactions. We will explore current and past events, encouraging students to be excited and inspired.

What a great technique to learn for a lifetime of fun ! Fold fun and easy origami patterns, including
jumping frogs, cranes, monster book marks, catch all boxes and more. Students will have the opportunity
to decorate and play with their creations while exploring the endless possibilities of upcycled paper. At
the end of every session students will take away one origami creation as well as instructions for how to
keep making at home.

Explore the great outdoors in this new art and nature class! Learn about the urban birds, insects and
plants found living on the Baker Hunt campus. Create wonderful works of art inspired by our natural
surroundings. Producing new works of art at each class, you’ll learn how to make branch weavings,
mosaic garden stones, 3D bird sculptures, insect collages, pastel floral still life and sketchbook
drawings.

Organically Recycling Mulchers (WORMS) is a unique, fun combination of
exploring vegetable gardening and art projects. Come join Ms. Judy and
experience the garden as an inspirational classroom, discovering how it
connects with our community, creativity and provides a chance to instill a
lifelong love of gardening. Plus, some of the
harvest can be taken home for the family’s
table.
