There is a fun opportunity to photograph table tennis players battling it out at the Edgar Center this
weekend. July 9 and 10. The images need to be e-mailed in by the 17th July- $ 150 cash to win, plus
$150 image processing at the Photowarehouse. NO flash, so you will have to have a sports mode
setting or a fast lens. Be in to win, and watch some fun sport. See Mrs Spittle for any further details.

Why is it so important to preserve and strengthen Maori language? Language is the most powerful
way we have of communicating our culture. When all New Zealanders can actively share a language
that is unique to New Zealand, even by using small phrases and words, then we can strengthen a
graceful and proud language, and restore it to where it was before colonisation.
"Mauria te pono" (mow-ree-ah tay paw-naw) means "Believe in yourself". Try it.
