Basic Information

No class changes can be made after summer school begins on Wednesday, July 5.

Students should report directly to their assigned rooms for class. At the end of class, they will be
released from their rooms to go on to their next class or to the elementary office to be picked up to go
home. Younger students may need help to get to their next class if they are new to our campus. Teachers
will be sensitive to students who need assistance between classes. Parents, please let teachers know if
your child will need assistance.

Classes are 50 minutes in length beginning at 8:30 a.m. There will be a five-minute passing period
between classes so students may change classrooms.

Students enrolled in Peach Factory will need to go immediately to their assigned Peach Factory room
after their classes are completed each day.

There will be a 15 minute recess/snack break each day from 10:15—10:30 a.m. During this time, staff
will supervise the playground. Students may play, use the restroom, and/or eat a snack from home. At
10:30 a.m., a whistle will blow to let students know to go to their next class.

Shorts and T-shirts may be worn to summer school classes, but they must be modest and appropriate.
Due to our safety procedures, all students must have a back strap on their shoes.

Grading reports are not part of the summer school program because the summer session is relatively
short. A letter can be written with a course description and proof of attendance when a written request is
made by the parent prior to the last week of summer school.
