LEVEL 4-6: Routine Questions General questions: A recognised element may be repeated 2x in a routine and receive VP both times Example: Bar – Hip circle 2x on LB OR 1 Hip circle Low Bar 1 Hip Circle HB Beam – Cartwheel in beam routine and Cartwheel tuck back Dismount Floor – Round off flick flac and round off straddle Jump Spotting assistance: 0.5 Unauthorized remaining on podium and NO VP (same for Lev 1-3) Bar Questions: Tap swing – Will be awarded when attempt but deduction of 0.1 feet at bar height and 0.3 feet below bar – on front swing and back swing. Squat on to catch HB in Level 6 is a bar change but not an A element Beam Questions: ¾ Handstand Level 4– Leading leg must be within 30° from Handstand(Vertical) Handstand is an A element when held for 2 sec BUT in Level 5 it is an Apparatus Requirement and need not be held for 2 sec to receive an A BAR: Level 1-3 Between 1.10m and 1.50m from top of mat to top of bar Level 4-6 LB:1.70m from floor to top of bar HB: 2.50m from floor to top of bar 20cm mats under bar BEAM: Level 1-3 1m from floor Level 4-6 1.25m from floor to top of beam. 20cm mats under beam and landing LEVEL 1-6: Apparatus Heights VAULT: Level 2 – 40cm/60cm Level 3 – 60cm/80cm Level 4 – 80cm/1m Level 5 – 1m/1.10m/1.20m Level 6 – 1.10m/1.20m 1 LEVEL 1-3: Zone competitions NORTH ZONE: Host: Mpumalanga Venue: Kemptonpark Date: 28-29 August Entries Closing Date: 7 August CENTRAL ZONE: Host: Gauteng North Venue: Matsport Centre Date: 4-5 September Entries Closing Date: 14 August SOUTH ZONE: Host: Western Cape Venue: Oudtshoorn Date: 28-29 August Entries Closing Date: 7 August Medal Qualifying Scores Level 1-3: Gold Silver Bronze = = = 35.20 up 35.19 - 34.40 34.39 and below Qualification Score for Zone – 32.00 Qualification Score for Gym Games : Level 4 - 32.00 Level 5 – 31.20 Level 6 – 30.40 These scores must be achieved at Provincial Competitions. CLASS 0-2: Routine Questions: General questions: Is there a deduction for doing the elements in a different order – 0.3 at the end of the routine Classes Levels: 2014 Class 3 – may regress to level 6 in 2015 2014 Class 2- may regress to level 5 in 2015 2014 Class 1- may regress to level 4 in 2015 Bar Questions: Support/ spot on pull over in class 0 and 1 – 0.3 deduction Support/spot the kip in class 2 – 0.5 deduction only & not loss of element as well 2 Beam Questions: Forward roll on Beam: Element will be recognized as soon as 1 or both feet touches the Beam My hold under the beam but roll is stopped to adjust -0.1 deduction roll not dynamic and 0.1 for adjustment. Floor Questions: Is there a stretch jump inbetween the handspring and the dive roll – Yes there is a vertical jump inbetween. What is the leap requirement for class 1 on floor – it is 120 degrees for the fwd leap & 90 degrees for the side leap.
